I understand your frustration with the situation. While manual uploads on eBay’s website might work, our plugin uses eBay’s API, which can sometimes have different requirements or temporary issues that don’t affect manual listings.

We always strive to identify whether problems stem from API limitations, temporary API issues, or plugin-related matters to provide the most accurate solution. I apologize if this wasn’t communicated clearly during your support interactions.

If you’re still experiencing issues, please feel free to open a new support ticket on www.ads-software.com with current details, and we’ll be happy to help.

    Best regards,
    Matt

That is correct, for historical reasons, this option has to be enabled in the settings, but you are right, it might be more intuitive for new users to have this enabled by default, or to add this to the setup wizard so it would ask you whether to enable or disable this option.

There might be slow servers or cheap webspace which might not be suitable for this kind of background activity, especially if you have tens of thousands of products and you are updating listing profiles with thousands of products linked to them.

But on most sites it should work as expected.

    kind regards,

I can only confirm what John said: The Lite version never had the ability to create orders in WooCommerce. It can fetch orders from eBay and show them within WP-Lister itself, but it can not create orders in WooCommerce, that is a Pro only feature.

Editing the functions.php file itself might not always be a good idea, and on some sites it’s not even possible.

That’s why I would recommend using a plugin like Code Snippets instead: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/code-snippets/ which allows you to easily use any number of code snippets in an organised way from within the WordPress dashboard.

    Hi @sourabh2008

are you still experiencing this issue connecting WP-Lister to your Amazon account?

Amazon requested us to resubmit our application to their marketplace (with updated details regarding security and privacy) and it is currently being reviewed.

It might be possible that they temporarily disabled new users until they finished their review, which I’m keeping my fingers crossed shouldn’t take too long now.

    ?kind regards,
    Matt

This should be fixed in version 3.2.6.

Let us know if you encounter any other issues, but I’m marking this as resolved for now.

    Hello baaquack,

I’m sorry for these confusing warning messages, ebay is requiring all developers to use a new set of APIs by tomorrow, and while the basic process is working all right, there are still some minor issues to iron out – which unfortunately had not surfaces in the beta testing phase.

Please update WP-Lister to version 3.2.4, which has been released just now. That should get rid of those annoying warnings.

Let us know if you encounter any other issues.

    kind regards,
    Matt

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Andres.

But do you thing that this is something that WP-Lister has to actively support? I.e. would you want to use that generated template file within WP-Lister as a feed template? In that case you should file a support request on our website and our support staff will go through the process together.

Without one of our customers actively asking for supporting this, there isn’t much we can do. When we shall put some effort in supporting new processes like this, we should have at least one potential beta tester.

    kind regards,
    Matt

We will add support for Amazon Brazil at some time later this year, but can’t give you an ETA on that yet. To speed up the process you could contact me via the support form on our website and send me some example feed templates that you would like to use, and if they are not too different from the existing ones, we could have you beta test basic support.

In this particular case, we should be able to examine a log record for that request, so I’d suggest you send a log record to support and we will handle it from there.

Log records should not be posted here on a public forum as you can certainly understand. But it is the quickest way to get behind this issue to enable the database log, repeat the action triggering the error message, and then examine the log record or send it to our support team.

You are absolutely correct, this text (second paragraph) is misleading and confusing and shouldn’t have been there in the first place. Apparently it originated from the Amazon version, where it does actually make sense, but it should not be displayed when there is no profile set up yet.

This will be fixed in version 2.8.3 which should be released later today.

Thanks again for bringing this to our attention!

You’re welcome, but could you help me understand what exactly is cleared up now? Were you actually trying to import products from ebay (as John’s answer suggested), or where you just looking for that magnification glass icon and/or the search field, in order to link you WooCommerce products to existing ebay items?

If the text in that screenshot seem misleading to you, then I’d love to hear any kind of alteration that would make it easier to understand. For the record, this is the text I’m talking about:

You need to create a listing profile and assign a suitable feed template before you can start listing new products on eBay.

If your products already exist on eBay, you can just search for matching products by clicking the magnifier icon on the right and link your WooCommerce products to existing eBay products.

Thanks in advance for any input and suggestions.

    kind regards,
    Matt
