    Use the Change of address tool to tell Google about your new URL. i recall something about them being able yo update their index for your new url.

    The downside is, it takes time tho…days, maybe months

    But you will have to do it at some point right?

    If you are interested in using a plugin to solve your problem, Maybe you should try using the “Comment E-Mail Verification” plugin.

    It may not be what you are looking for exactly but it works

    Worked for me while i was working on a website on a free host.
