I’ll make this as done since other users have reported the same error and it got fixed using 2.1.9
We’ll push 2.1.9 today for all users.
Are you able to manually install our upcoming 2.1.9 version? The missing menu items — All Legal Pages and Add a New Legal Page — are related to user role capabilities that we’re fixing in 2.1.9.
1. Download 2.1.9 from here https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/auto-terms-of-service-and-privacy-policy.2.1.9.zip
2. Unzip and replace the files in wp-content/plugins/auto-terms-[…] folder
3. Go to WP AutoTerms > Settings. The missing items should appear.
4. Please confirm.Please:
1. Check that the Legal Pages are PUBLISHED. The links won’t work unless the page is published. If it’s DRAFT, it won’t show.
2. If the #1 above does not work, kindly send a message from WP AutoTerms > Contact and select “Extended” at the select drop-down menu so we can troubleshoot this better.
Thanks,
Please contact us with more details (website link, plugin version etc.) You can do so through WP AutoTerms > Contact.
The method should work as long as you updated from 1.8.2 to any 2+ version. Otherwise, the shortcode won’t be available.
Thank you ??
We’ll add the z-index values by default in our next version.
Update of Legal Pages kit works only after you update a legal page.
If you don’t update the legal page there’s nothing to show.
Fixed. The issue was with the theme that overlapped our container.
We’ll also push a new update to increase the default z-index value higher of our used CSS containers to make sure other themes do not impact this.
Can you please send me a message from WP AutoTerms > Contact to troubleshoot this? Kindly send a working URL that I can access to see this as well.
(Sorry, I incorrectly tagged this as Resolved and cannot undo it.)

Kindly send me:
1. A message via WP AutoTerms > Contact form so I can get the website URL + see the plugins you’re using
2. Screenshots from 1 legal page you created showing the Page Attributes widget + 1 normal page showing the Page Attributes widget. Please send these screenshots to [email protected]
We may have communicated via email to troubleshoot this bug.
2.1.6 version brings a bugfix for this.
Please try to publish the page with the Page Attributes values you need. It should work.
The Preview functionality may use a different template when showing you how the legal page would look, but a published legal page uses the template you set in Page Attributes. We’ll see if this is a bug from our side.
> QUESTION ONE. How do I remove the sidebar?
Your theme must have a “Page without sidebar” template. This should be available in the Page Attributes widget when you edit the legal page.
> QUESTION TWO. What then? I don’t see the page anywhere when I go back to my WP dashboard, select “Pages” and look through all my pages.
All legal pages you create through our plugin are available in their own separate section.
Please go to WP AutoTerms > All Legal Pages.
All your created legal pages are available there.
If you installed WP AutoTerms from a version higher than 2 (2.1.6, for example), the legacy shortcodes will not work.
The legacy shortcodes are only available for the 1.8.2 version or if you updated from 1.8.2 to >2.0.0 version.
A workaround for this would be to install 1.8.2 on your website (download it from SVN and upload it in the plugins directory) and then just update it to 2.1.6

2. Settings > Permalinks so that we know what kind of permalinks setup you have.Hi there,
As I already received your email on this, I’ll copy-paste the reply I’m about to send you to troubleshoot this.
(Also, I see from your website that the links seem to be working — so kindly confirm if the bug is still present.)
Please send me:
1. Screenshot of the page at All Legal Pages
2. Copy-paste the links of the generated legal pages (underneath the page title, copy-paste the link from “View”)
3. Screenshot of the error page that also shows the URL you’re trying to accessWe’re pushing version 2.1.5 today to fix this bug. We’ve reverted back to 2.1.3 until then.
Thanks again.
