This fix is part of our next version that includes a new policy with CCPA.
If your site shows this error, kindly email us and I’ll be able to provide the version we’re about to released so you can install it manually.
Error fixed in a test version of the plugin. The bugfix will be released in our next plugin version.
I mean from your website where the plugin is installed.
WP AutoTerms as a menu link appears on the left.
We’re investigating this.
Please send us a message from WP AutoTerms > Help > Send us a message with the “Extended” option selected so we can get the full server information (PHP version, plugins etc.)
The GDPR Privacy Policy exists on https://goldengiver.com/wpautoterms/gdpr-privacy-policy/, it’s just white text on a white background. To check this, simply select all from the page and you’ll see the text.
So the issue is from your theme. You can enter some custom CSS anywhere you can to fix this:
.wpautoterms_page { color: #000; } .wpautoterms_page p, .wpautoterms_page h1, .wpautoterms_page h2, .wpautoterms_page h3, .wpautoterms_page li { color: #000; }
Hi there,
Currently, we don’t have a banner or an “I agree” type of checkbox that can be shown to first-time website visitors, but it’s time we’re looking at.
You could look at some theme editing to show the links to the Legal Pages more prominently, or just go with the links in the footer of the website (our Links to Legal Pages kit does this).
Leaving our reply here for others to see.
The first solution is to check if the Endorsements Kit is configured to place the text at the top of the article. If yes, move it at the bottom.
Regarding the specific case here, the issue is caused by the theme. It places the post content inside various div containers with multiple CSS parameters & rules. The end-result is that Whatsapp or Safari’s Reader View (for example) doesn’t “see” the content, it only sees the title and final text (the affiliate disclaimer).
Please send a screenshot to [email protected] with a screenshot and link to troubleshoot.
It shouldn’t happen. Maybe a certain JS script may have added it, but we’ll investigate and reply.

Hi there,
Unfortunately, there’s no option to add a text before the legal links.
You could modify the plugin files to do that but we strongly recommend not to as future plugin updates will remove the edit.
An alternative is to disable the Links to Legal Pages & add a new footer from your theme.
Usually, you should be able to go to Appearance > Widgets and check if your theme supports a “footer” section.
“Last Effective” is not a custom field, it’s part of the legal page, but the value for the date is the legal page’s updated at date.
Can you try to modify the publish/updated at value of the legal page and see if it works?
I assume this is about the “Updates to Legal Pages” kit that shows a notice banner whenever a legal page is updated.
You can customize the text of the banner from WP AutoTerms – Compliance Kits – Updates to Legal Pages – Messages.
You can also disable the banner from showing at all.
If you’re referring to the “Last Effective Date” from the legal pages itself, you can simply modify the text from WP AutoTerms – All Legal Pages – Select the legal pages and click Edit.
Hi there,
The “Leave us a review” banner can be closed through the “X” button, just as many other plugins have it.
If it doesn’t work for you, please send me a video recording + a screenshot from Developer Tools > Cookies section so I can see if the corresponding cookie is being set when you click “X”.
Our update for CCPA is under development. Our future version(s) will include a Compliance Kit for CCPA.
Usually, all plugins are managed from the left side of the sidebar. If you do not have a list of Posts, Pages, Plugins, Themes, Settings, then your sidebar is not shown / it’s collapsed.
For example, this video shows the left sidebar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bk_zVMo7s04
In the sidebar, you should see “WP AutoTerms”.
As an alternative, you can email us with some screenshots to see what you see and I’ll troubleshoot from there.
Hi there,
Each legal page can be generated through a wizard which you can find at WP AutoTerms > Add a New Legal Page.
After you created your Legal Page, you can enable various Compliance Kits from WP AutoTerms > Compliance Kits:
– Links to Legal Pages –> so that all links to your published legal pages are shown automatically in the footer
– Cookie Notice –> so that users are informed that your website uses cookies
