I didn’t like v3 either, because it destroyed my design with its Google info box. In the end I didn’t use it at all. Now I use a workaround instead: a little math quiz that bots apparently can’t solve. If the quiz isn’t solved correctly the form will not be submitted. The CF7 plugin has a quiz-button for it.
