In reply to: [Menu] Unable to direct a menu item to particular URLIn the Business Essentials WordPress Theme you should look in Apperance/menu. There should be a menu called Top Menu. There you can remove the “home” link and just put in a custom link to the frot page.

In reply to: Media not being redirected (shows 404, but files are OK)It is most likely a server issue – but you could check if autoupdate of core or plugins has broken something. Use FTP to check if any files has been changed recently.

In reply to: Multisite website that share same table in same databaseYou don’t want to do make websites that way!
First of all – what you want to do is not something multisite was made for and i doubt that it would ever work.
Second – Your page might be degraded if you have the exact same content across multiple domains. https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/66359?hl=en
In any case – You don’t need multisite.

In reply to: Multisite ProblemHi Charles.
The only folders for new sites will be in the /wp-content/uploads/sites/. But thet is only for uploaded images etc.
Did our install wordpress in site root or in its own directory?
What does your .htaccess file look like?

In reply to: WPMU installation on subdomainI′m not sure exactly what you mean by
can not install any theme and/or plugin.
I’ll try to explain the two scenarios that is can think of:
1 . If you are not able to install themes and plugins because you get an error when you try, there is most likely a problem with your host or you made an error in the .htaccess file setup.
2. If you can’t figure out HOW to install themes and plugins – Look at this guide… under the headline “Installing and Activating Themes”

In reply to: Multisite website that share same table in same databaseThat is not how WordPress MultiSite works. In multisite, each site has its own tables.
NS Cloner will only clone a site when you first create it. It will not keep it cloned.
Why would you want to do this? What is the purpose of your websites?

In reply to: Subsite CSSHi,
The file editor (css and php) is only accessible by the network admin.
Remember: when editing theme css those changes will be applied to all sites using that theme.
Some themes offer css editing capabilities in the theme customization panel but custom themes generally will not.
You can use the jetpack plugin to let a user overwrite css rules on individual sites. That might be your best option.

In reply to: how to create a template blog then duplicate it.I would use a plugin to make the site private. There are many in the wordpress plugin repository.
Once you have made a copy from the site template, simply deactivate the privacy plugin and you are good to go.
Look at:

In reply to: [P2] Removing post format typesThanks Kathryn!!
The post formats are now gone from both frontend and backend. So that is nice ??
Last problem remaining is that i still need to have the post format “Post” set as the only option instead of “Standard”. The difference between the two is that there is a headline in the “Post” format but not in the “Standard”.
Any idea?
