In reply to: WordPress LoginThe username/password for our own WP installation and these forums have nothing in common.
You need to be doing the password reset for your own site, by entering your username or password. This is for your site only, not the forums ??

This will help find out if that is the document root.

In reply to: 404 Error, Using Active Web Hosting, cgi please help!Hi Marcus,
You shouldn’t need to create a public_html folder, it should just be there. It is likely the host uses a different name like “html_docs” or something like that.
Ask your host to confirm the document root for uploading the files as everything else you have done should work.
Also make sure the FTP account you are using is the root account, not a different user as the files my end up in a sub-directory.
Let us know how you go ??

In reply to: Cannot login to all my WordPress websitesIt really could be any number of server configurations in Apache or PHP. I think it would be hard to know without asking them.
I have contacted the hosting provider and they say it is not their problem.
It would be good if they could at least help you trouble shoot. After all you are a paying customer ??
I cannot find any error_log file that contains errors from the last few days.
Does your hosting control panel have an option to view error logs? Can the host provide them for you?

In reply to: Header Ad not workingI recently upgraded my template and since doing so by header ad does not work
I’m thinking the upgrade has over-written the code you inserted. Do you have a backup of the header file you can roll back to?
Have you checked the actual header file code to see if the ad code is still there?

In reply to: Removing Posts all togetherHi Richard,
Try this – https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/white-label-cms/
It should let you remove any admin menu items you wish. Haven’t used it yet, but have heard great things about it ??
