Never mind, I fixed it. There’s an option under General Settings:
General Settings => “Allow Users To Log in With: [Username / Username and Email / Email]
Apparently the default setting is “Email Only”, and I never checked it. After selecting “Username and Email” and saving, the issue is resolved.

In reply to: [Tooltipy (tooltips for WP)] upgraded to WP 4.4.1 and Tooltips not displayingIt turned out to not be a WordPress version compatibility issue, I added a weird symbol/character in one of my keyword descriptions by mistake and it screwed up how the tool tips displayed. When the character was deleted it worked again.
Feel free to delete my initial post if you have the ability to do that, since what I said turned out to be incorrect. Great job on the plugin.

In reply to: [Defa Protector Platinum] play Defa Protector Videos in mobile browserI want my videos to be as secure as possible BUT I must have them play on mobile. Can you create a settings option “[ ] Allow to play in Mobile even though there is copy risk”?
I would love to have the protection of Defa Protector but mobile must work (even if there’s a security issue) or I can’t use it. Thank you!

In reply to: [Passster - Password Protect Pages and Content] Protecting other contentsI’m not sure if you’re doing something wrong, but anything I put in between the protector tags is being protected for me: Images, Video, it doesn’t matter what it is:
[content_protector password=”test” identifier=”test”]
Anything I put in here is protected: Text, images, video.
[/content_protector]
Are you using the little “locked icon” shortcut inserter that is visible in the WYSIWYG editor when editing pages after you activate the plugin? IF not, hopefully that may help you avoid whatever may be causing the problem you’re experiencing.

In reply to: Can I remove specific category posts from “timeline” but leave in category? Thanks for the ultra-quick helpful response, Michael… That Simply Exclude plugin did the trick; I found it a little bit confusing, but for anyone else trying to do something similar, I just did this:
1) Created a new post category in WordPress
2) Clicked “Exclude” to block articles in that category from being in the main page listings (but still available through search, archives, etc)
3) Edited each post I wanted to remove by assigning it to the new post categoryWorked like a charm, thanks again.
