I see that 1.2.1 released but that it’s still buggy (on the back-end only apparently) now according to the other comments on here. I think I’ll wait for 1.2.2 to release and then wait another few days to actually update.

At least downgrading worked so there’s no immediate sense of urgency for me anymore.

Thanks for the quick reply anyway, @digitalapps!

Oh maybe that’s due to the fact that I’m still using the old Classic Translation Editor instead of the new Advanced Translation Editor.

Anyway, nice to know you could also fix the issue on your end.

    Have a nice day!

    Hi,

Instead of going into the WPML translation interface, I do it this way:

    • Go to the listing of all your contact forms – yourdomain.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpcf7
    • Change the language without editing any contact form first
    • Only once you changed the language, go edit the form you want, and check the boxes in the Brevo settings
    • Save the form
    • Done

I do this ONLY to change the Brevo settings for each language of my forms.

To translate any text from the form, I still use the regular WPML translation interface.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi,

After checking thoroughly again to find a solution, I realized that the contacts are saved into Brevo even when using the English form, translated with WPML.

The contact just didn’t show up right away inside Brevo, because the right list wasn’t checked in the WordPress back-office when editing the English version of the form.

Therefore, my problem is now fixed.

For those who may have a similar issue in the future: please remember, when translating a CF7 form with WPML, to go to the english form CF edit page to the “Brevo” tab and to check the list you want your contact to be saved in again.

Apparently, just translating the form (with the Advanced or Classic WPML translation interface) isn’t enough. The Brevo settings should be re-checked by hand as explained above to be sure.

Thanks again and sorry for bothering you with this issue that I’ve fixed myself in the end!

Thanks for your recommendations, I did the following:

    • Cloned the website onto a staging environment
    • Installed and activated the official Twenty Twenty-Four theme by WordPress
    • Disabled all plugins except Contact Form 7, Flamingo, WP Mail SMTP and Yoast SEO

I then tried the following, without re-enabling “WPML Multilingual CMS” nor “Contact Form 7 Multilingual”:

    • Submitting + checking the Brevo consent box in the original french form: It worked, the contact was added to Brevo
    • Submitting + checking the Brevo consent box in the english form (with WPML disabled): It worked, the contact was added to Brevo

Then, I enabled “WPML Multilingual CMS” and “Contact Form 7 Multilingual” and did 2 more tests:

    • Submitting + checking the Brevo consent box in the original french form on a french page: It worked, the contact was added to Brevo
    • Submitting + checking the Brevo consent box in the english form on an english page (which is the translation of a french page): It didn’t work, the contact was not added to Brevo

In all cases (even the last one), I successfully received the e-mail sent by Contact Form 7 in my inbox though.

So in conclusion, it seems to me that the initial problem (contacts are not added to Brevo when on a translated page, using a translated CF7 form) still occurs, even on a barebones WordPress installation with a default theme and only the necessary plugins activated.

If you would like to see for yourself, I can provide FTP/DB access and WordPress access to the staging environment if needed.

I also think that this problem would occur on a brand new and fresh WordPress install, as long as Contact Form 7, “WPML Multilingual CMS” and “Contact Form 7 Multilingual” are activated, and a page and form translation are created in another language.

Thanks again for your support. I can of course provide more information if needed or carry out other tests on my end.

    Have a nice day!

I use the Underscores starter theme which is super barebones. The header and footer are “hand made” using the header.php and footer.php files of the theme. Everything else on the pages is done using Gutenberg blocks.

Here’s a screenshot of the list of plugins we currently use:

    Hi,

After investigation I still see my site in the reCAPTCHA admin dashboard without any warnings showing up, but it turns out it is a “V3 Entreprise” CAPTCHA and not a regular “V3” one.

After checking, it seems that we’ve deleted the associated Google Cloud project, so this was what was making the form submissions fail.

We will create new keys for this specific site and the problem will be fixed!

Sorry for the inconvenience and for maybe posting in this forum too quickly before realizing this issue is not related to Contact Form 7 at all.

    Have a nice day!

    Any update on this?

    Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply and fix! Version 1.1.2 indeed fixed the issue. The layout changed a bit and I had to tweak the CSS of the thumbs a bit but now the slider is working and looking as expected.

    Have a nice day!

I have the exact same error, I can’t use any widgets when the plugin is active.

This is a dealbreaker for me so I have removed the plugin entierly from some of my websites and am styling directly using my style.css file instead.

I hope this gets fixed quickly!

If it can help someone : Updating WordPress (from 5.1.16 to 6.3) fixed this issue for me!

I have the exact same issue…
I see that this post is marked as “Resolved”. If so, is there any fix for this yet?

I’m using this plugin to generate my WebP images but I don’t want to pay for their subscription to enable AVIF images too.

So I’m wondering the same thing: would it work to have both WebP Converter for Media and Avif Express on the same site without conflicts?

Thanks for your awesome plugin! Have a nice day.

    Bonjour,

Merci, au final nous avons réinstallé le module pour avoir de nouveau les zones d’expédition par défaut Colissimo et nous avions compris la même chose : qu’il faut utiliser Colissimo Expert pour certaines destinations.

    Bonne journée !
