In reply to: [Autoptimize] Stopped working with Jetpack Site AcceleratorSo, I was dealing with same issue, so upgraded the plugin the with beta version. So, whenever the new version comes up, can I just update as usual through WordPress, or I have to delete the beta manually and upload the new version and then the updates will work?

I don’t really know what happened, the plugin has been running beautifully for years without any modifications in the settings, but recently I started experiencing the problem I mentioned earlier. I have also found another user in this forum with a similar problem after recent updates.
Since the impressions were getting affected, I had to remove the previous unit configuration with a after a paragraph configuration until if I could a find a fix, so that’s why I didn’t share more details because I had to remove the configuration that wasn’t working.
So, I ended up using:
Insertion, after paragraph 1
Count, from the top, paragraphs with tags P
Count only inside OL and check LiSo far, it appears that it did the trick.
@milindmore22 I just wanted to give an update. It appears that the errors are slowly disappearing from the Google Search Console.
I haven’t had the chance to install the health check plugin yet.
Out of curiosity, what are the chances of running into problems uninstalling the problem if I can’t fix the AMP settings error?
If I’m unable to fix the plugin, is there any way to manually delete all the data from the plugin?@milindmore22 When I delete the plugin, will I get a prompt to delete the data as well? I asked because after I disabled the plugin, I read that it’s a good idea to delete the data while the plugin is enabled, but when I reenabled the plugin, going to AMP settings now shows a “Something went wrong” message.

In reply to: [AMP] Can I safely remove AMP from a website without ranking or traffic drop?@milindmore22 So, I had the Reader mode on, so I deactivated the AMP plugin and added the redirect code to the htaccess to remove AMP from the site.
Would this be enough to comply with the remove of AMP? I don’t want to remove the plugin just in case I need it back for troubleshooting, or is it completely necessary to delete the plugin?Also, the next day the Google Search Console started complaining and received the “Referenced AMP URL is not an AMP.” is this normal even though the redirects seem to be working correctly?

@ihenetudan So, I wanted to follow up and add that I temporarily removed the htaccess code, but after 2 hours, Jetpack locked me out of the site because it kept saying that my IP address was 162.158.62.132 and it was flagged for potential security violation.
I have the WP-fail2ban plugin (free version), and the dashboard widget shows login attempts from 162.158.x.x IP range, but it looks like a bot or attacker trying to guess the username and password.
So, my theory now is that the security is working fine, but Cloudflare and letting the attacks through so, for example, if before, I was getting “attacks” from 1.1.1.1, 2.2.2.2, 3.3.3.3, 4.4.4.4, and 5.5.5.5 from Europe, now Cloudflare proxy these addresses with the 162.158.x.x and now are getting blocked by Jetpack and server firewalls.
The IPs are not real, I just picked those to write what I wanted to say.
What do you think?@ihenetudan I’m removing the htaccess code and see what happens. Is it necessary to whitelist the Cloudflare IPs to Jetpack?
Also, why would Jetpack lock me out of the site and say that the IP I’m reaching the site has caused security violations? To clarify, the IP that Jetpack shows I’m coming from is one from the 162.158.x.x range. After I disable Cloudflare, then I can login again.

OK, so I went to the Jetpack security settings with the WordPress account and added my IP address to the whitelist. It appears to be working ok now, but the question still remains why it was showing me the error with another IP address.

@diondesigns thank you. I’m creating a meta box in the editor to pick an option from a list of options, and I was planning to add the code in a plugin. In your opinion should I just add the code to the functions.php or it’s better to add a plugin. I use only one theme that I created and maintain.

@optimizingmatters from the toolbar “Clear CSS\JS cache” button. It now takes a long time and fails. Because it was causing high resources, I disabled the plugin let the server to cool off, and then reenabled the plugin. However, this time I went to the autoptimize settings and cleared the cache using the save and clear cache button. So, it seems to be working for now, but this shouldn’t happen. Now, I’m even a little afraid of clearing the cache.
