I finally fixed the problem. It seems I was missing some information or settings in moving the site to the live server. I used https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/ to move the site and it started working perfectly.

@missveronicatv I appreciate the link, but I have been creating WordPress staging sites for more than five years. That information is more suitable for beginners.

The problem I am having is with UM and how it seems to have a bug that removes admin capabilities. That’s the problem I am trying to solve.

But I still can’t access wp-admin on my live server even with um and it’s extensions disabled

and then a lot of stack traces. i can send the whole file if that helps.

@missveronicatv I did as you suggested and there is no php error log file. I also reenabled all the plugins I disabled before and tried it again. Still no debug.log

I am having a similar problem. I installed and configured ultimate member on my local wampserver and it worked fine. But when i uploaded the site to my live server, i can’t access wp-admin.

I have disabled all plugins and the problem persists, even when i disable ultimate member itself. I have created a new user in my local development server and given it a special ultimate member admin role with all capabilites, but when i upload to the live server the same issue: i cannot access wp-admin.

I am using the latest version of ultimate member and the latest version of wordpress. The php versions of both my local server and the live server are 7.4.

I have no idea what to do next.

This seems to be a common problem. I’ve been experiencing it too and looking for a solution. And if you inspect the customizer in Chrome and check for console errors, it says “Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)”

Also, the format in which smartposts are stored (smartpost shortcodes) does not allow proper integration with other plugins and template hacks.

Can smartposts store the post content data in the default wordpress text format, so it is available for further processing like any other post?

I’m also experiencing a strange behaviour where the plugin adds text to the post content, so when you display post excerpts you see “+1” text or “you must be logged in to like this” in addition to the post content. I can’t find anywhere this option can be enabled/disabled.

I just tried out this plugin.

Seriously limited? This plugin allows custom css, switches between flash and html5, is browser compatible with both firefox and ie, will allow you choose music from a folder or from posts, etc etc, and even change the appearance of the widget player with css.

I think this is a lot of value for a free plugin.
