For the pro version to work properly, you must have both the base version and the Pro version of the plugin installed and activated.

However, We do mention the following on the description of the plugin which seems like you missed:

“Note: This is the lite version of WP Spell Check. Additional features are included in the Premium Version. Click Here to get access to WP Spell Check Pro and unlock those Premium Features!”

We also have FAQ questions listed ay the bottom of the page addressing the limitations of the Free version of the plugin.
Would be happy to look into any issues you are experiencing with our plugin.
