This was due to a small bug being left in the vSlider. In line 482, instead of get_options it should be get_option. You can rectify that manually by Dashboard->plugins->vslider->vslider.php search for get_options or replace the vslider folder in WordPress plugins with a new downloaded vSlider folder from www.ads-software.com.
We have rectified this issue in the vSlider 4.0.3, yesterday. And I apologize for all the trouble to vSlider users. I am currently adding a new feature to vSlider where you can grab the first image of the post for your vSlider. And will be rolling out vSlider 4.1 soon with this update.

Oh! I am sorry, I have rectified this in the tutorial. I would surely like to help you if you are willing to share your url in the vSlider forums. We have solved almost all of bugs in vSlider support forums. Such issues/errors help in improving our slider.

Hi Robbi,

Please download and install the new version of vslider.
We have tested it on Mac OS X and its working fine.

If it doesn’t work try deactivating –> activating the plugin.
This thing flushes out the irregularities with the db.

A better thing to do was to ask for support. You could have just emailed me or use the vslider support forums or use the inbuilt vslider installation hekp and Faq’s.

Try manually install of vSlider 4.0 and it should solve the problem.

We are trying to solve this problem, it is only with Mac OS X users. You will have to revert back to
vSlider 3.0 version for the time being. You can down it here

Please try vSlider 4.0. We have given inbuilt tutorials on how to set up header slider in the default theme. In case you run into issues use vibethemes forums.
