Not receiving confirmation email to change admin email address
This is not resolved. and this thread is locked.
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/not-receiving-confirmation-email-to-change-admin-email-address/I have been using WP for 12 years and run over 200 sites for clients and recently this is not working anymore. Why is WP not looking into it. I am on the same host and nothing has changed and my clients are not getting the notifications. When I set up new sites I put myself as the general admin until I launch the site. Then I change it to the new owner. For the last 6 months or so this has NOT been working. What is going on with it?
I am wondering if it is because you have to pay them to use it.
I started getting spam on my form and now I see I have to pay to use captcha.Forum: Everything else WordPress

In reply to: [Widget Content Blocks] Lost my WYSIWYG widgetsI see this mentioned quite a few times online but no fixes.
This plugin acts like a page and the sharaholic icons and other plugins similar all show up under all these sidebar items I need.
I have to be able to get rid of those icons. Please give us a solution.
This should be a new comment, moving it nowWell it took me some time and some help from Naomi the developer, but I finally got it all working. I got rid of all the old stuff, redid it with all new and latest versions, added wordpress https plugin, (thank you God for that thing). And there was some other things I had to do. It was not a quick fix, but all is well at last. So stressful but solved.
Anything to do with money is high stress if it stops working. Support is always needed for that kind of plugin I think and I will gladly pay.Forum: Everything else WordPress
In reply to: custom upgrade wordpress.com v/s self hosted wordpress siteIt can feel overwhelming. It is actually good to set up on self hosting, and you look like you are almost there.
As for the back up situation, all you need to do is install a plugin like
WP-DBManager, and set that up. With one click you can restore your site if anything goes wrong. It is the most simple plugin I found and you can set it up to automatically back your site up as often as you wish. Also for a worst case scenario, I am pretty sure BlueHost does weekly backups which you could restore your site using that if you had to.
