In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce v3.3.3 doesn’t add current menu item classesWell I didn’t actually say that. I just haven’t tested it further on another install with a different theme yet. I’m also using the maxgalleria plugin which has reported conflicts with WC but not this exact one.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce v3.3.3 doesn’t add current menu item classesHi @aranwer104,
No errors in the console at all. I noted it working on a previous version of Woocommerce v3.2.6 I think it was and then after updating, no classes were added to the product category menu I started up. Unfortunately I don’t have time to hang around on this one so I have already switched to Marketpress which is adding the classes fine.
I’m using the JointsWP theme for the first time and have encountered a few strange interactions so far with plugins so perhaps it is a theme thing but thought I’d reach out to see if anyone else found this issue on their install.
Thanks
I have been getting these: client denied by server configuration: wp-content/plugins/ultimate-member/core/lib/upload/um-image-upload.php
Which I have already contacted my host about and they are saying that this is produced by the plugin. I checked permissions and all that kind of stuff but the server guys are adamant it is produced via the plugin.
Is the image upload done by a different process? If so can it be changed/adapted to use the native WP upload which works fine?
Thanks
I did everything in these docs and more and still it did not work. Also did not get a response from UM support for my issue on another thread ??

I have an admin account and it happens for me too with all capabilities…
But yes I see what you mean and I have done this to no avail ??

Hi Matti,
Yes I can confirm that mbstring is enabled as per phpinfo.
The site does not run any of the plugins you have mentioned. I do have Hummingbird Pro but it has not even been setup yet and the problem remains even once this is deactivated.
I was Ctrl+F5 when changes are made but I will try a proper clear from the settings.
Any more help would be much appreciated
Thanks

In reply to: Site OfflineHi solesen,
You don’t need to host anything with WordPress. WordPress.com and .org are two different things. The .org version you can host yourself, this has no bearing on plugins working.
I think the real issue here is why the plugins you are trying are not working. Either it’s the plugins, unlikely if you have tried a few or it’s something to do with your setup.
There is a setting in the admin so that search engines dont crawl the website. If you are developing the site it is unlikely people would find it without a direct link or via a search engine (even then it’s unlikely to be listed for a while and not be high in rankings).
Also you have to realise that a site offline option is really only suited to very few users, which would constitute “bloat”. It’s unnecessary for the majority so plugins are used for the few.
So can you tell us more about your setup and any ideas why plugins are not working?
Cheers
Neil

In reply to: Chained payment without woocommerceHi Kniool,
You will need some kind of plugin as it isn’t something WordPress can do out of the box. This kind of feature is normally required within an ecommerce scenario, hence why you find it in those kinds of plugins.
Best bet is to search around for exactly what you need and if you don’t find it then it looks like a custom job.
Hope that helps
Neil

In reply to: Using wp_users and wp_usermetaSounds like you could just use a theme pre built for that kind of thing like a a classifieds theme or similar? I’ve used classipress in the past and found it pretty good.

In reply to: Using wp_users and wp_usermetaIts very difficult to comment without knowing what you are trying to achieve exactly.
From what you have said it kind of sounds like you might be better looking at some membership plugins.

In reply to: HTTPS out of nowhereHi,
Just visited your URL, you dont have an SSL and the site loads fine. When you visit: https://www.firearmsbrasil.com.br/ you will get a privacy error because you dont have an SSL.

In reply to: Footer doesnt show in single product pageHi,
Are you saying you have to tick a checkbox for the footer to show on the product page and you have to do this for every single product?
I don’t understand why a theme would be made like that. Is it the theme that has ecommerce built in or are you using a plugin?
I’d speak to the theme author and see what they say, it might be possible to do something in phpmyadmin using a bit of SQL to “tick all the boxes”.

In reply to: Using wp_users and wp_usermetaI’m not sure why you need a custom registration system and couldn’t have hooked into the WP native one?
But if you are doing something custom/separate then you would be better to keep it that way and create a new table.

In reply to: User: "No role for this site"I don’t see any issues in what you are doing. I take it you have logged in as one of your “no role” users to be sure. Obviously they will still be able to access the admin but should only see their profile info.

In reply to: Fade In/out background featured image when mouseover the title link.Nae problemo. Glad it works. Like I said if I was trying to future proof it a bit and be extra clever then looping through stuff and adding it dynamically to the JS would be good but perhaps not necessary.
