In reply to: site will delete for malware but problem is wordpress blank pageBut even if you manage to make a backup those files will presumably still be missing.
Normally you can zip folders up in file managers and download them that way.
It would seem that you have to contact the host or get the site owner to contact the host to acquire the ftp details.

In reply to: editing my existing wordpress site.It kind of depends on your theme as to how the homepage content is controlled/displayed etc but most just utilise pages and posts.
Loads of tutorials out there. Just google what you want to do followed with the word “wordpress”, for example; How to change homepage content wordpress

If you struggle to get things going you might consider a paid support and maintenance like we offer.
Hope that helps

In reply to: site will delete for malware but problem is wordpress blank pageHi,
Have you uploaded your theme files again and tried to update WordPress. You could always try uploading the latest WordPress files yourself an update them that way.
I think I would upload my theme files again and the latest WP files and go from there.
I take it you dont have a backup you can reupload?
Hope you get it sorted

In reply to: redirected domain names high in googleHi,
I think you really want an SEO forum.
If the 3 domains are just permanently redirected to the main domain then they will cease to rank on Google. However if they had a pagerank then this should transfer onto the main domain. Doing this a lot could be considered grey hat SEO but most use it when they change domain names and want to transfer their page rank etc.
Do some reading on SEO, specifically 301 redirects

Hi,
What operating system are you using? If its XP you might want to look at: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/811262
Also are you running the latest WP version?
It could be a plugin issue. Disable them all and try publishing the post. If it publishes you know its a plugin, then enable them one by one and publish a post after each to test. When it throws the error you will know the offending plugin.
Hope that helps

In reply to: editing my existing wordpress site.Hi sparkin5,
Your theme is pretty good. It has a nice design and its responsive. Why do you feel the need to change it?
Any images, banners and text is easily changed from the admin panel.
The only thing I noticed on the homepage is you have a test post listed which should be removed and the facebook section in the footer is not working.
There are a few things you could add like nice CSS3 animations etc.
There is also a move away from sliders as they are not effective, normally just one striking background image does the job. Im not sure if Id use black and white or if Id want a bit of colour in there. The difficult thing is that that area is quite busy and obscures most of the background image.
I think you should be more concerned with moving you site forward from the good base you have. Your page speed for instance can be improved: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmach-tech-ltd.co.uk%2F
Hope that helps.

In reply to: Webhost does not offer phpMail() – Alternatives?Hi,
What email form are you using. Have you tried any plugins that can utilise smtp sending like Contact Form 7?
My advice would be to get paid hosting. Its only a few quid per year, check out The Path Hosting. £12 a year.
Hope that helps.
