In reply to: Installation wordpress on ubuntu server 12.04 ltsHey there,
Seems like there is some issue with the installation.
Have you actually installed WordPress on the site after installing the mysql module ? Did you check if the module has been installed successfully ?
Here is a good guide on how to install WordPress on a ubuntu system : https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-wordpress-on-ubuntu-12-04

In reply to: Connection Problems Resulting In "Failed to open page"I did a test for your site here : https://gtmetrix.com/reports/thehollywoodsigh.com/3y4ZHg75
It has a Page load time of 7.55s
Try this with default theme activated and all plugins disabled. If it shows the same behavior it might be hosting.
But if it does not, it can be the theme as well.

In reply to: Connection Problems Resulting In "Failed to open page"Hey there,
Did you check with your host for any connection related issues or anything in the server error logs ?
That is where I would start looking if there was a connection issue.

In reply to: image upload error 4.1Hey there,
Aw snap – Are you using Google Chrome ? That is what shows this message when a website crashes.
Try deleting the browser cache and try again to see if it works fine.
If the image was not uploaded, you will not find it in the media library

In reply to: Slow loading almost 20secondsHello there,
Just check with the default WordPress theme to see if the site works fine. If yes, and if Bridge is a premium theme, you should directly contact the theme support and they will be able to assist you with the same.

In reply to: After hacking: Theme messed upHello Astrid,
There is nothing much which could be done remotely however you could try taking a backup and then downloading a fresh copy of the theme and then replacing the current footer.php with the freshly downloaded footer.php.
However, if your theme has this kind of code, its not good. I will personally suggest you to upgrade to a paid version or getting a different theme.

In reply to: Pages not being displayed from navigation barHello Mike,
Perhaps your permalinks needs to be refreshed.
https://tech.shawnlelle.com/resetting-wordpress-permalinks/ should help do that.

In reply to: After hacking: Theme messed upHello Astrid,
The message you are getting generally occurs when you have downloaded the theme from a free source (which offers nulled themes)
They generally include encrypted code in the footer.php and if you remove that, they trigger the message like that.
I will strongly recommend upgrading to a premium version of the theme from the original author and not a nulled source.
Its not good for your site security and can eventually get your site infected.
I hope that helps.
