Thanks once again for the quick response and help- but I did what you suggested above and unfortunately still no joy. Here’s what my code looks like now, just to make sure I didn’t miss anything:

Any word or ETA on this? Will this feature be included in your next update? I love your plugin and would love to use it, but unfortunately I can’t until the option to exclude showing related posts in certain categories and or tags is implemented.

Thanks for the quick response and suggestion, Ryan. Unfortunately, I installed the JQuery Updater plugin and still no love. Anything else you can suggest to try would be greatly appreciated. I really need to get this working before I put down cash for the “pro” version.

They do typically fall under a specific category (or sub-category) and also have specific tags.

That is awesome to hear on the next update that you’re going to add this feature to exclude adding related posts using either tags and or categories. I really appreciate all your hard work and support!! =)

Yup….pretty much.

Maybe it’s just easier to show you:

MOST posts I want the related posts to show, such as this:
https://www.oceanleadership.org/astrobiology-an-infinity-of-plankton/

But others, I do NOT want the related posts to show, such as this one:
https://www.oceanleadership.org/onw-week-of-july-15-2013-number-208/

It would be VERY cool if there was a check box in the editor to “Exclude Related Posts” or if we could turn off the auto-embedded of the script and manually call it from wherever we wanted it to display within the template(s).

Btw: You may want to test this using an iDevice. On my iPhone the images for the related posts at the bottom of my posts are way stretched vertically as you swipe down. Not sure what’s up with that.

If I could make another suggestion- It would be really nice if used the excerpt from the post for “Title & Excerpt” option. Right now it appears that it creates the “excerpt” directly from the post content itself.

Same problem here. Will try the display:none css as a quick fix for now until the plugin author comes up with a better solution.
