    I have actually already checked that and did not find any of the above mentioned things. I will add the code from the php file below so you can see what is in it. Once again, I guarantee there were no spaces or characters before the first “<?php” and the last “?>”:

    <?php
    // Do not delete these lines
    if (!empty($_SERVER[‘SCRIPT_FILENAME’]) && ‘comments.php’ == basename($_SERVER[‘SCRIPT_FILENAME’]))
    die (‘Please do not load this page directly. Thanks!’);

    if ( post_password_required() ) { ?>
    <p class=”nocomments”>This post is password protected. Enter the password to view comments.</p>
    <?php
    return;
    }
    ?>
    <!– You can start editing here. –>
    <div id=”comments”>
    <?php if ( have_comments() ) : ?>
    <div class=”comment-number”>
    <span><?php comments_number(‘No Comments Yet’, ‘1 Comment’, ‘% Comments’ );?></span>

    <div class=”alignright”><?php next_comments_link() ?></div>

    <?php if ( ! empty($comments_by_type[‘pings’]) ) : ?>
    <h3 class=”pinghead”>Trackbacks & Pingbacks</h3>
    <ol class=”pinglist”>
    <?php wp_list_comments(‘type=pings&callback=list_pings’); ?>

    <?php endif; ?>
    <?php else : // this is displayed if there are no comments so far ?>

    Samboll, when you can get the chance could you look at my post? I’m having a similar problem, except I just can’t get into the wp-admin, but I can view the blog at it’s URL.
    Here is a link to my post:

    ahhh, I’ve only just started and I love the wordpress forums, you guys quick to respond! I’m starting to come to grips with the idea of wordpress thanks to you guys, understanding is happening here. When I say work, I do mean the things that you referred to as well as things like putting a photoshop/illustrator created banner (and any other ways of customizing the look of my page that I may think of) onto my pages. I’m guessing that I will figure out how to do that somewhere along the way in the process of setting things up with the assumption that the program will have a way to do things of that sort. On that note I would appreciate any quick tips you might have involving that.
