Since I have not heard back from anyone ?? very disappointed I asked this same question of the Premium Press theme support who were fantastic to provide a fix for me for my theme Directory Press.
Go to Directory Listings/General/Image and delete all the links and paths on the image paths fields. Then hit save button. Then it will update the current path of the theme now then hit the save button again. These settings will override any file path storage that you have set in Settings/Media.
