But for some reason i didn’t get notified that ubermenu had and update?
So I signed up again for email subscription, Chris is that they correct way to be notified of updates?

Also, it looks like ubermenu 3 is a major change … I have a lot of customized css. I studied the change/migration documentation but could you kindly confirm if I understand correctly that one of the major changes is changing tag selectors from ID to Classes? Is there anything else I need to be aware of that might cause problems? (Of course I know to backup before doing anything lol!)

It must have something to do with the last update … maybe they will fix it in the next one, if not it makes the plugin kind of useless.

Hey Chris – Thanks for your reply and hints of help.

I tried all of it but still go luck.
Then I thought maybe it was the way I duplicated the site from the live server to bring down onto my local WAMP server to test. I use the Duplicator plugin so looked to the folks over there but that wasn’t it either.

I work on over a dozen WP sites and it’s only this particular site that is giving me grief with WP 4.0. Then I thought what is different with this site than any of the others… The only thing I found different was the way this site is set up on the live server. I keep all my WP sites in their own diretory, but this sites directory/folder is the only one that has a dot i( . ) in the name: i.e sitename.com

SO I think that could be what is causing problems either by how it gets duplicated or how WP 4.0 “sees” it.

I’m going to see if I can change the directory/folder name to just “sitename” and try again.

Will let you know if that works.

Hi Chris – thanks for replying .. yes I tried FF, Chrome and IE all do the same thing… it must be something in WP 4.0 that is doing something different I think…because when I revert back to WP 3.9.2 all works fine again.

I tried updating several times I even tried manually updating WP but get the same result.

Also I did all the other troubleshooting checks such as deactivating/reactivating plugins., cleared all browsers cache and history ..etc…etc.. No luck. ??

Does anyone have any ideas … what in WP would cause the url to change …
When I type localhost/sitefolder in the browser it goes there but before athe page loads after a few seconds https://www.localhost/sitefolder shows up on the browser bar and then I get the connection was reset error.

Can’t figure this one out?

I want to replace/filter the cf7 success message with the text in the API response.

Hi Zaus – Yes I was able to make this work … although I did have to hook into the code to allow for “repeating” tags as the number of repeating fields from my cf7 form is not known beforehand. The user can add as many as they need so that made it a little bit interesting for me to figure out lol!

Ooops – sorry – I am incorrect when saying it submits the form. It does NOT submit the form – which is GOOD ?? but before WP 3.9 it used to add css “disabled = disabled” to the submit button so users would have an indication that they can’t submit the form yet.

Was this an intended change? I kind of like it disabling the submit button.

But i can work with this if necessary.

I appreciate your response … I figured out how to write a function to map the fields… before I saw your reply… so this is great news because I still needed a way to send to the API. So using your plugins will help me do that.

So now I need to figure out how to rework my function into one of the hooks you mentioned. Hopefully it won’t be too hard for me to do… I’m relatively new at this. I’m going to give it a try and if I have any questions I hope i can ask them here?
