Thanks for the help James, however I want it to be under 2 seconds, ideally under 1 second if possible! I’ve also noticed some subpages can take upto 6/7 seconds to load.

You’re still transferring data and images.

Under 2 seconds might be possible if you remove most of the images.

A similar site to mine loads almost immediately and has the same if not more content.

Rather than comparing your own sites against each other, get a better idea of what people normally experience by comparing your site to eCommerce sites that most people visit, like Amazon:
