  • New update works – Thanks, Jaap!

If you mean the standard WordPress upload, mine has had no problems, either before downgrading or after. As I said earlier, for me it’s an import issue.

By “hang” I mean it gets to the import page, I select the images that I have uploaded en masse to my depot, make sure it’s pointing to the proper album and hit IMPORT.

At that point, that side of the screen goes white except for a green notice bar at the top of the page a that says:

Processing files, please wait… If the line of dots stops growing or your browser reports Ready, your server has given up. In that case: try again here.

It progresses no further, even if I’m uploading just a single photo. I’ve waited at least 10 minutes on a couple of occasions. The site is still functional, so I can go into the album, and only one of the photos will have been added. If I go back into the depot, the photo that was imported has not been deleted from the depot.

I hope that helps clarify things, at least for my issue, if not the general issue. Unfortunately, I can’t give you the kind of access you’re requesting. If it was my personal site, sure, but it’s my employer’s site.

I also can’t re-update to the latest release, since our site is live and in constant use. Again, if it was my personal site, I would be glad to help in this way.

Before I downgraded, I turned on debugging, but didn’t find any relevant errors in the server’s error log, or apache’s error log. The server isn’t logging PHP, so I can’t provide any info on that.

Similar (same?) problem here – I can upload as many photos as I want, using any of the methods, but it’s the IMPORT that hangs. At that point, I can import one photo at a time, but the plugin does not delete the originals from the depot. I have downgraded to the previous version, and everything works again.

I changed the slideshow widget link settings and it’s working now – thanks!

Actually, the “I love php” was me trying to “fix” an outdated and unsupported plugin on that page. That’s why it’s a test site, so I can break it and then fix it before breaking the real site. ??

I didn’t change the theme to remove the </body>, that was probably the people who developed the theme for us. I’ll dig in and make sure the body tag closes in the footer – thanks for the heads-up on that.

No, I’m not running it on a *nix box. It’s Netware 6 Apache/1.3.27, PHP/4.2.4-dev, and MYSQL MySQL 4.0.12

    Hi,
Think this would work on the main Post Entry page?

Stupid n00b question – how do I apply the patch?
    Thanks!

Arrgh! I found the problem – I’m trying to restrict uploads to the admin login, but if I enter that ID in the allowed users setting, it DENIES admin that right.
    What am I doing wrong?

southerngal is right – I got the same error.
I don’t think the install read.me comes right out and says you have to create these, though.
