Well that I know, but no other in-content media. Anyway thank you for your assisstance, and once I start gaining some traction here I will likely be buying the premium theme. It looks tantalizing. ??
Plus it really helps with the bounce rate and keeps people on your site longer, oh trust me I LOVE the homepage templates! Its just not feasible yet seeing as I have less than 3 articles! ?? I currently have nothing to fill all that juicy widgetized space with.
Anyway I was able to reinstall the older version and it turns out that it was still using excerpt, but the “excerpt length” option was actually functioning in the customization. So, I was able to set it greater than 125 characters. It still won’t show the pictures in the post of course, but oh well. ??
Oh I intend to use the homepage template, as I have with my other website. The only reason I want to use the “latest post” format is because this is a brand new site and I don’t have enough content yet to be able fully utilize a decent homepage template. So until then, I was hoping to temporarily use a blogroll format….oh well. ??
This is kind of ridiculous that you can’t simply choose between excerpts and content for the homepage even with the paid version. I take it your theme is primarily designed to use the homepage templates and never the “latest post” option?
Alrighty then, what would you charge?
Unfortunately we can’t provide free support for theme customizations.
Would this be included if I purchased the premium theme?
That’s strange, because before I updated last it showed the entire post I have up on the homepage, now its cut off.
So where in the theme files am I supposed to edit this with the information provided from:
https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Function_Reference/the_excerptAlso I tried before I originally posted to increase the excerpt length under Appearance => Customize => General Options. It does nothing. Its currently set to 125 characters. Any value above that and it will only add an additional 9 characters. If I set it to 126, it will give me 9 more characters. If I set it to 150, 200, 500 or 5000 it will still just give me only 9 more characters.
