Can I possibly talk you into one more (last) answer? ??

Q1: We need to input something for each of these attributes. E.g. for a particular product it might be:
Materiel = “wool”, Quality = “qu1” , Strength = “average”.
This should be shown on the product page like some sort of extra description. (And be used in the advanced search to be developed.) But it should not be shown in a dropdown or anything selectable as a variant.
So I guess that categories, tags and variants are not useable for this? Is there any other build-in way – like “custom fields” or something?

– but it’s only for showing relevant variant pictures – not for selecting variants by clicking a picture. But your guess is that it would be possible, right?

I found the problems and solutions.
I actualle had 2 unrelated problems:

1) The error message from Google: “Translations status: Bad or unhandled response from the ‘GOOGLE’ translation engine. “
Don’t know if this was just a temporary error from Google, but I tweaked the settings a bit to make them less aggressive with more than 600 seconds between requests. Now Google didn’t complain. But I still could not access the translated pages.. :

2)
E.g. entering the German version of Eee PC blog with /de/ it just redirected to the frontpage in the blogs native language. I found that this was caused by a plugin I have installed called Permanlink Redirect. This makes sure that things can only be accessed in one way but also messes with the links needed to access the language pages. The solution was easy: Just go to the Permanlink Redirect settings page and add the paths to be skipped.. E.g. /ru/ for Russian as in the last part of Eee PC Blog in Russian , /es/ for Spanish Eee Blog in Spanish and /fr/ for French Eee PC Blog in Frenchand so on –

Gangleri (or somebody else) – where can I turn the “Search Revisions too” option OFF? I can’t seem to find anything related to Revisions in the setting for the Search Everything plugin..

Do you have any idea how many kb’s the jQuery and AEC scripts are by the way? Just to know how much (little) weight the plugin adds to the total?

I have the exact same problem, but have not found a solution.. All the revisions of a page or post is also shown along with the real results – at least when clicked they all return the “Page not found”.

Hope someone else knows what goes wrong here and how it can be fixed.. Or know an alternative plugin, that would help search pages also (and not just posts).
