Observations:

• RankMath does not throw the same error, but it also doesnt always cache every page. There are 94 pages on site.
  • Starting from an empty cache: WP-Optimize & RankMath Sitemap will preload 83, next time only 32, sometimes 65, maybe 94.
• I couldn’t find any php-log errors relating to this ??.
• I returned to SmartCrawl in an attempt to trigger a php-log error – and WP-Optimize began giving me zero errors.

Experience:

This error will return unexpectedly. I will record the log and return with detailed information to report.

I’m using Smartcrawl as my SEO & Sitemap plugin.

The problem is persistent and occurs across all following situations:

• Smartcrawl is activated and generating a sitemap.
• Smartcrawl is activated but using WordPress’s own sitemap.
• Smartcrawl is deactivated.

@janboddez Thank you for looking into this particular issue. I posted to this forum after persistent issues (during a very long debugging session for possible conflicts with other plugins).

This particular %excerpt% issue turns out to be a conflict with Seriously Simple Podcasting Plugin.

When using Share On Mastodon in conjunction with Seriously Simple Podcasting, this conflict can be resolved by setting “Seriously Simple Podcasting Plugin’s Settings to exclude the podcast player from the excerpt.

This thread can be marked as closed & resolved.

EDIT: This resolves itself when I deactivate all other plugins. I am conflict-tracking now and will report back.

In the meantime, I notice the image order used by Share On Mastodon to display post images seems incorrect.

• Images within content are displayed first on Mastodon.
• Content Images are displayed in order or last image on page to first image on page.
• Featured image is last image (or not displayed, depending upon Max Number of Images Settings).

I am publishing posts immediately when failing to see images accompanying my posts. ActivityPub sends images to my WordPress Instance Account ; Mastodon Autopost does not send images to my linked personal account.

I’ve methodically examined the results for images with these origins:

• Media Library > Existing Image as featured image > No image attached to post.
• Featured Image > Upload Image > No image attached to post.

I wish the Mastodon Autopost simply had an Advanced Settings > [image] shortcode to insert into the final post format.

Screenshot of Admin Area Typing Text Issue #2:

• A Typing Text Block appears above the word “Paid”.
• Typing Text does not appear in Editor after a “Publish, Save, Or Update” Event.
• Typing Text does appear on Frontend as expected.
• List View shows my DOM hierarchy.

Additional Note:
The CSS gets wonky upon ‘Publishing’ and ‘Deleting’ a blog entry (anytime the index changes).

Clearing the cache solves the issue, but I hate to lose my entire site’s cache simply because I published a post.

The specific fix to utilizing User Registrations along side WooCommerce while avoiding 404 error on ‘Lost-Password’ endpoint is posted below.

Solution:
User Registration > Settings > General Settings > My Account Page > Use your WooCommerce “My Account” page (instead of the default User Registration plugin’s “Users Account” page).

I have switched from WP-Optimize to WP-SuperCache (on your recommended caching list above).

It is resulting in the scenario represented within this thread in which you inform me that caching is blocking my ActivityPub requests.

How do I broker peace between ActivityPub Plugin and Caching (WP-SuperCache)?

Even with Caching Deactivated – I encounter the same non-working outcome. Caching is currently off.
