it seems no images are working. This includes avatars. Even in the backend, after I upload a new image, the preview displays the weird default image missing icon. Any thoughts?

Not at my computer at the moment, but if I remember correctly, left click wamp server in task bar, go to Apache and then modules. Scroll about 3/4 way down and check that module. Let me know!

This had to do write the Apache rewrite_module. It’s weird because I have used WP several times with WAMP and never had this issue on a local install.

A host name would work as well, but I could end up doing this all over in the future. My thought was a “share” named files on a NAS (network attached Storage) like a USB key. So should I need to move WAMP and WP, I could simply export/import and not change a thing

thanks for the reply. no luck. in the db itself it has postname there, I changed the access file, and cleared the cache, then restarted laptop, just to be sure. This has to be an issue with 3.6 on local installs? Again, I am using WAMP, but never had this issue before.

I use to use them when I hand coded sites, but I was look for a solution with a gallery tag and then add a lightbox effect to the gallery

It was a fresh install, I deleted askimet, hello dolly and the spam free plugins. Still no luck!

I have manually updated to the latest version and I am still having an issue access the plugins. I can search and then it states it cannot connect to www.ads-software.com

I wasn’t running 3.3.1 at the time of the issue. I am using Capnix and their autoinstalled uses 3.3.1. I have never had a problem with them before and it’s pretty much cut and dry. When I try to either update or get plugins, I get errors saying it cannot reach www.ads-software.com.

I have just tried 2 of my other sites, and same issue. Could something with the WP plugin side not be up and running?

since the fresh install, it is not telling to update to the latest WP version.

I have done that, no help. I just reinstalled a fresh copy of WP and receive this error now:
