In reply to: [Sweet Captcha] "Omit captcha for registered users" has a minor bugThis fixed the comment form, but the contact form still shows a captcha. After looking through the code it appears the contact form doesn’t even have this option coded in.
I just noticed this on my samsung galaxy tab. Love the plugin otherwise. Has there been any progress? I’ll be happy to help but I’m not sure what to do. I’ve built a few plugins but nothing all that technical so I might be useful. Any idea WHERE the problem might be in the code, or at least what file(s) would handle it? I’ll give it a stab and do some tests.

In reply to: [BuddyPress Moderation] Doesn't work with multisite? For those looking for answers I found the developers site. Looks like there is hope. The more the community can help the faster it can get fixed.
https://flweb.it/2013/06/bp-moderation-is-broken-help-fix-it/
While BP-Media is maintained by other developers, I’m the only one working on this plugin and I have received emails about it not working on the latest versions of WP and BP.
I started to look into it and the dev version should now be working on single-site installs, Today I’ll test on multisite and fix it. I can’t devote lot of time to it right now so any help, tester or developer, is appreciated.
The development version is now on GitHub at https://github.com/francescolaffi/BP-Moderation, if you are not confortable with git you can get the zipped dev version at https://github.com/francescolaffi/BP-Moderation/archive/master.zip.
Stable versions will be tagged in WP official svn repo. How can you help to get it fixed?
If you use this plugin on your site test the dev version (zip) from GitHub and post the issues to https://github.com/francescolaffi/BP-Moderation/issues (never test it on your production website)
If you are a developer you can help to fix and improve it! Fork the GitHub repo and make a pull request or reach out at francesco.laffi on skype to discuss it.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Achievements for WordPress] A new user activates… achievementDarn. That’s an odd one, oh well then. I suppose we would still be able to use invite anyone for this purpose then? If it was possible to set some sort of default value to all new subscribers at least, like 0 or 1, it could help those displaying points. You run into some odd situations with blank points. Just a thought.

In reply to: [Achievements for WordPress] Getting it to work with Advanced Access ManagerUpdate: Well, it seems I have no default user roles. When someone signs up they are not being assigned a role at all. “My New User Default Role” drop down box is missing. My test users were NOT subscribers at all, but blank roles. No wonder it wouldn’t work!
So, in the end my issue was not the achievements plugin but some crazy conflict somewhere else. Resolved. Sorry if I wasting anyone’s time! ;P

In reply to: [Achievements for WordPress] Getting it to work with Advanced Access ManagerUpdate: I did some tests with and without Advanced Access Manager. It seems AAA is not the culprit and I may have had this issue all along (as it happened I started testing achievements on subscriber level accounts at about the same time I installed AAA).
With AAA disabled, subscriber level users still get no achievements, no points, and no popups. Using AAA, I enabled full admin privileges for the subscriber level and still could not get achievements to work. They work find on any other user role.
It seems my problem is getting Achievements for WordPress to work on subscriber level at all.

In reply to: [Achievements for WordPress] A new user activates… achievementRemove the “A new user activates their account on your website.” under buddypress? Oh man that’s going to really stink for some of us who have user points displayed. Since they start out with blank points instead of 0 or 1 it just shows up empty when a new user joins unless you use this achievement. Plus everyone loves seeing that first achievement right away. I get a lot of compliments from new users because of it.
Please consider fixing it if possible, or at least giving a default 0 or 1 point so it won’t display blank. I know that we could probably use invite anyone, but really I just don’t need it and I hate to add a plugin just to support another.
Btw, I love this plugin so much, excellent work sir.
Another update:
Stupid me, I enabled achievements network wide (for multisite) instead of the specific site. This apparently stopped ALL points AND popups, even though the achievements were being posted on their profile and in the buddypress activity feed. Once I enabled it just for the site everything went back to normal. Sorry!
an update: One of my events is to add an avatar through buddypress. I just deleted and reuploaded an avatar on one of these accounts that already had an avatar and I did not get the achievement. Event repeat is set to 1
