@wp_media just curious if you have an update or idea? thanks!
any ideas to get it to only optimize the images in these folders once? (non-wp folders added to the wp plugin) @wp_media
I dont see any options in the configuration to prevent it from rescanning. thanks a ton!
back to 73% today and recompressing thousands of images then “already optimized” @wp_media
example:
310px-guesthouse02.jpg ALREADY OPTIMIZED
857px-guesthouse02.jpg ALREADY OPTIMIZED
397px-guesthouse02.jpg ALREADY OPTIMIZED
682px-guesthouse02.jpg ALREADY OPTIMIZED
142px-guesthouse02.jpg ALREADY OPTIMIZED
828px-guesthouse02.jpg ALREADY OPTIMIZED
793px-guesthouse02.jpg ALREADY OPTIMIZED
830px-guesthouse02.jpg ALREADY OPTIMIZEDThese non-wp imagfy “other media” appear to be the culprit. No matter how many times I imagfy, imagfy always reverts the next day to 70% complete then when optimizing says they are already optimized.
Bulk Optimizer will say 100% complete > then 94% then count down to 63-70% and start over re-imagfying the same images.

Happened again today back to 70%, it will rescan 3000-5000 images but only 10-20 will need compression
Still having this issue in wordpress with the wiki and forum folders (other media)
Each day it reverts from 100% to 70% and rescans 3000-5000 images as “already optimized”.
Thanks for reviewing

Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Auto Upload Images] how to bulk optimize 200 older posts?I may have a workaround:
a. bulk edit (check box > edit for quick edit)
b. turn off allow pings
c. turn on allow pingsdarn it did it again today, back to scanning the last 4-5k images (70% ) for the 3rd time which takes about 10 hours. ?? all but 5 or so will already be optimized.

this is not a bug. someone keeps posting imagur instead of using the native plugins.

if i go to “other media” it shows 18000 images optimized, if I go to bulk optimization it stays hovered around 13.5k images… about once a week it will revert from 100% optimized to 70% or so then attempt to re-optimize the remaining 5000 images each coming back “already optimized”
thanks!
so today i logged back in (no changes to folders), and it went from 100% back to 70% complete… it is scanning images and coming back “already optimized” for about 10k images that are already optimized.
This is the 2nd time it happened this week and 3x previously. However in this case I made no changes.
I am stumped since it takes forever to “revierfy already optimized” on thousands of images.
Today was for wiki (media wiki) “custom folders”. I imagine a couple images have since been added, which would be a PITA if you have to scan 10k images for 24+ hours to optimize 3 images in a folder.

I think it mostly is working (webp) however when I go back to the imagfy screen it will still report the same amount of files that are missing webp and will re-create the webp files … refresh the plugin and it will ask to generate missing webp for these files again.
it is only 300 or so out of 17k images, possibly they are in a location with less permissions , i am not sure since it does not identify which images need webp beforehand.
sorry I only have access to WP permissions and not the xenforo. From what I read xenforo stores them in a database and changes the extension from .png to .png.2777 (or a random database row number)
it is an odd setup .
