    Hi Michael,

Yes – I know it’s a workaround but not so difficult to do.

I did my own testing the [I believe it is] “Altitude” parameter and it seems that it is only when the value is “.0” that there’s a problem. Just “0” or “0.0” are fine.

I will also raise this as a bug in OpenCPN as a value of “.0” also “looks” wrong.

I hadn’t got as far as changing the style tag – I wanted to make sure it would work first ??

Once again, thanks for your time!

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for your reply – that works just fine.

I can see how you fixed the problem. It seems as though the program that generates the KML file is adding the extra “0.” co-ordinate erroneously.

    (The program is “OpenCPN”)

I’m not familiar with KML files otherwise I would have spotted it ??

I’ll manually edit my KML files to fix this for now.

The program has two options to generate KML files; I’ll try the other one too.

Many thanks for your time and solution.

    Best regards,

    John

    Hi Michael,

OK – I’ll publish it now.

I didn’t want to publish it as it is only a test page for generating maps with tracks on.

While I have you attention is there a way to reduce the thickness of the line displayed?

    regards,
    John

Sorry – I forgot to say that the sample page above contains a working GPX track first and a non-working KML track second.

    Sorry for any confusion….
