^ This is very interesting. About 8 months ago I noticed a sharp drop-off in referrals from Google. I’d come to the conclusion that something I had linked to (ie something harmless + intereting to me) did not meet the approval of what the big G considers link-spam. I read about something like that happening to meta-filter and thought that must have been what happened at my blog.

I guess not.

I see your problem.
I alos have been having sideblog problems. It seems the sideblog author is not up with 2.5.1. These things happen.

Are you attempting to use it as a widget?
I was, and getting no where fast. It would show up and then everything else in the sidebar would disappear.
However, I tried non-widget style, just inserting the most basic code into the sidebar, and as per your suggestion, adding ‘asides’ into the brackets (that’s my category name)… and well, well, well, it now works, however the formatting is a little out of whack, that is, typeface colour etc, and I I don’t know how to change that.
Also the title heading won’t show up.

I am having a different problem.
I’m updated to WP 2.5.1 and using the 5.1 version of the sideblog, and with the default set of elements in the sideblog, it all works — it shows up on the blog, but everything else that’s in that sidebar (things like archives, Meta) all disappear.

Anyone got any ideas on what’s up with that?

I’m kind of disheartened that nobody has replied to this. It’s a big problem. It’s happened again. Go look at it and tell me if there is any solution.

Is it at all possible that it could be something to do with the themem that was being used ?? Is it possible there was some buggy markup in one of the templates that is causing this?

I was using a slightly modified version of the Mono theme.

You have to left click on the image while it is in the image upload bit below where you write into. There is an option to set it to original size.
Unfortunately this doesn’t do anything.

Okay.

I upload an image via the inline thing.
I click on it and set it to “use original”. I click on the ‘send to editor’ link, (which by the way is *not* very self-explanatory) the code show’s up in my post, but it is STILL thumbnail size — 128 by something.

I am asking how do I fix that? Why does that not work?
Why should I have to sort through the dozens of plugins in an attempt to find one that does what the actual blogging tool should do?

I just want to stick a photo in my entry that is the same size as it is on my computer — I don’t want it hyperlinked to itself or anything – I just want a simple image.

Look, I’m just saying, don’t assume me or others know all the technical terms. I don’t know what a submit page is. Is there another file I should delete from my WP-admin folder?
