I’ve installed the latest version of BuddyPress v7.2.0 with the latest stable version of the “Login as User” v1.3.0, on a clean WordPress installation v5.7 and everything working properly.

Maybe the issue was on 5.6.2? Have you upgraded to the latest stable version 5.7 of WordPress?

What is your URL structure? e.g. https://www.domain.com/ ?
You’re under a subdomain?

Can you please provide me more details?

In order to limit or restrict the users that someone is able to log in as a user follow the steps below.

?1. Install and Activate this plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/user-role-editor/

?2. Admin > Users > User Role Editor

?3. Add Role >

Role name (ID): LoginAsUser
Display Role Name: LoginAsUser
Save.

?4. Select Role and change its capabilities: LoginAsUser
?
?5. Choose only edit_users and list_users capabilities
?Update.

?6. Create a user from Admin > Users > Add new and give LoginAsUser capability.

?Now the user with the LoginAsUser capability can login as any user.

p.s. ?In the step 5, if you create a role and you don’t assign the edit_users capability, the user will not be able to login as a user.

Hmm it seems that your ngnix server blocks the plugin.
I suppose that your hosting provider should increase some values in the conf file.

I would like to inform you that in the new version 1.2.2 of the Login as User WordPress plugin you are able to choose the toolbar’s position (top or bottom).

After testing on my local machine with the latest version of WordPress (5.5.1) and the latest stable version of Woocommerce (4.6.0) everything works properly. So, maybe something conflicts with another plugin.

Can you send me some info from your website, please?
For example, I need to check which plugins are installed on your site.

Which is the previous page that you’re in as an Admin before you’ve logged in as the User? The plugin redirects you back to the page that you were before.
