In the past, issues having to do with the list ID have been related to people grabbing the ID from the list’s URL instead of going to List > Settings > List Settings and Unique ID and getting it there.
If this is not the case and you are grabbing the list ID from the settings, please send us an email and we can troubleshoot further: [email protected]

We actually got that error as well during development. Even though we deleted an entry on the list we would still get the error after submitting again. What we discovered is Mailchimp caches email addresses and holds onto them even after deleted. They clear out after a day or so.
Please try it with an email address that you have never tried using for that list.

That is really weird, because email address is the one field that gets added by default and you can’t uncheck it. What happens when you use the short code, does the form show up on a page without the email field?

Are you using the most recent version of the plugin? We have resolved some jQuery conflicts in the most current releases.
I would suggest deactivating and deleting the plugin and then installing a brand new copy.
Please let us know if that works.
