it’s taken a long month or so to resolve the problem I was having. People on the forum were helpful and I learned a lot. I felt frustrated that I couldn’t sometimes follow their clear instructions but it’s resolved. No idea quite how this happened but it’s good to go.

Hi to everyone in this thread that gave me clear instructions (even as a novice I didn’t really understand them at the time). I have learnt a lot, but will probably forget a lot (I keep a note book and record everything I on my website). I don’t really understand how it was rectified but I backed up the site, deactivated all plug-ins, reactivated Health Check & Troubleshooting plug -in, then went through each plug -in customising the background colour of my mobile menu. all published successfully and no conflict. I’m happy this has been resolved, but curious as to why it’s worked now as I thought I had gone through the same careful process step by step over a month ago.
Thanks to you all being patient and helping out. I can now move on and happily improve my website and blog away soon.

thanks so much for your helpful & clear instructions. In the end I got there, although I had deactivated all plugins and reactivated them in turn with no avail, this time for some unknow reason (well, to me anyway) it all worked and nothing seems to be in conflict. I’ve changed the colour of the background menu on mobile view and all seems ok.
I’ve learnt quite a lot, but wonder why this happened in the first place and yet not now.

Hi, I’ve had the host reply having checked out data and my website is well within the database limit.
I’ve also disabled each plugin in turn and tried to make a customised colour change to the tablet menu but it still won’t publish. I also disabled them all and tried same but this also wouldn’t allow any changes to be published.

I couldn’t see how to do a screen shot like you did, but copied the words. the Uncaught typeError on mine is red as your example. Also red circle with a white x just before it.

wow, ok so I tried to make changes to the background colour of menu on tablet/phone setting. No errors seem to come up in the inspect option.
What do you think I should do now?

will do. I’ve also tried to do this on my ipad, but I get same problem.
I have also edited the about page on my website and that updated ok.
Now I can’t see how to upload my screenshot (i’ve saved it as a pdf).
seems I’m being quite challenged here. Which is ok as long as I can get over these few hurdles

I’ve tried to investigate, but not luck. i think I’m failing to understand where to look.
I did see the data usage/disc space says 299MB. So I guess that’s ok and not the problem.
I can’t see where to access if there are any errors logged.

thank you for your response. I will try both suggestions. I did contact hosting provider about 2 weeks ago, who said they didn’t think it would be their end. Although I might go back to them and ask how I would know if it was a database limit. Although I’m really really new to all this I don’t think I would have reached anywhere near a database limit.
