In reply to: [WP Responsive Recent Post Slider/Carousel] Plugin conflict how to fix?I fixed it by removing the shortcode and reinserting it. This problem was caused by selecting the text of the slider in the page builder. I instructed the client not to change/select the text within the page builder. If you did that the element would get corrupted and this happens. It also stops the page builder from functioning normally.
Before that I found this can be caused by multiple instances of the Slick slider as well.

Hi,
Thanks for the update. Did you add the single opt-in option instead of the double opt-in in the plugin?
As you can see above mailchimp only has an API setting/call/hook that allows for single opt-in. There is no way for me to set this in the backend of mailchimp.
Greetings,
YmeHi I got the following response from mailchimp:
Hey Yme,
Thank you for reaching out to MailChimp regarding your double opt in process. I’m happy to assist.
As we maintain the importance of quality subscriber over quantity, we want to ensure you are getting the most engagement from your subscribers that you are sending to. In order for us to do so, we also need to ensure that the email addresses signing up to your list are valid, belonging to the person signing up, knowing and expressing permission for your emails to be sent, and not falsified, spam-bots, or likely to unsubscribe to or complain about, your emails in the future.
All our signup form options require this double opt in process for this reasoning. This is for all users, whether paying or free.
You can see more benefits of this process here:
Double Opt-In Signup Form FAQ’s: https://eepurl.com/cbGlJHAs you are using a plug in, it may be beneficial to see if there are any options to disable the additional opt in from WordPress.
There only is an API setting for disabling the double opt-in. Double opt-in destroys the subscription numbers they give me explicit permission to add them.
Greetings,
YmeHi @jdailey,
I confirmed the problem is the double opt-in email even though I don’t want to use this. I can’t disable this in mailchimp as their proprietary forms require a double opt-in email. I don’t see the option to disable in the hustle plugin as well.
Did you guys make sure to have the API call with double opt-in off? I use other plugins which subscribe just fine.
Greetings,
YmeHi @jdailey @wpmudev-support2 @wpmudev-support1
I was too fast to assume the last step would go well which is the connection with mailchimp. I made an API key added the api key to the plugin and selected a list. The right merge tags are in there, the shortcode field on the page shows “success thanks for subscribing”. The log in mailchimp shows the API shows activity but I don’t see any new subscribers in mailchimp? No server error logs at all.
HELP?

YmeEDIT MAILCHIMP SUPPORT MAIL:
I certainly understand that it can be confusing when an API key doesn’t work as expected. Looking at the API calls for the last 24 hours I am seeing that the API version “Ver” that the Hustle plugin is using is version 2.0. MailChimp stopped supporting older versions of the API at the end of 2016.
I recommend reaching out to the plugin’s developers and see if they have an updated version or installing another plugin that ha an updated API. The API version that is compatible is RESTful API 3.0.

Hi @jdailey
Thank you! I have it working now on my website. I’m not seeing any issues yet.
I also saw custom fields was added right? Awesome!Greetings,
YmeHi,
Any news? Is there a mirror for the old version?
Also see my question above.
Greetings,
YmeHow are things going?
Also is it possible to add custom fields to the plugin? I would like to add a field “Website url” above the email field.
Greetings,
YmeSo you’re telling me your developers knew there were problems with BB but just launched anyway? I’m happy with the new functions but this is a really bad practice.
WPMU DEV is destroying their reputation by putting half working things out there. EVEN if it is free. I’ll be writing a blog post about this terrible practice.
Unbelievable. “Last updated 1 month ago”. These kind of things should be fixed within days not months.
When can we expect the update?
