Somehow, Geo Mashup (mapping plugin) is not able to automatically pull up events that have been created with events-manager. One way to go around this would be to provide geo mashup with the “geocode custom field”, which as per the plugin documentation are “Comma separated keys of custom fields to be geocoded when saved. Multiple fields will be combined in order before geocoding. Saves a location for the post if found.”

It would be great if you could please let me know what these are.

ok. So i am looking at the Geo Mashup plugin as an alternative to the map view. I was wondering if you could tell me what single customer field events manager uses to store the location information?

One more question: I am not a developer but I can usually i can figure things out, given the right guidance. If I were to purchase the pro-version of the pluggin, would the pro-support team be able to help me with these type of requests?

Hi,

Thanks so much for the response. Basically when a user creates an events on the front end, they are able to input their street address, city, etc. I understand events-manager leverages the google map api which does provide neighborhood info (ie. “Mission” would be a neighborhood in San Francisco).

So my question is two fold:

1. Is there a quick and dirty way to get that information using attributes?
2. If not, do you know how i could modify some of the files to achieve this?

No. This is for one-off events only. I did not update anything so really not sure what may have happened. It worked fine a few days ago. Any idea what may be causing this?

Many thanks for the answer. I have tried hiding it with CSS but it won’t let users save their events since it is a required field. How would I go about setting this field as the first line of the address ?
