I figured out how to fix the footer. I simply added

clear: both;

to the footer definition. not sure why it worked up until now without it, but it’s fixed now!

Ok false alarm, some code I had added to the CSS was preventing the links from working. fixed that at least!

thanks for the tips. I suddenly realized none of the regular links on the main page are clickable either… no idea what might be causing this.

I am scared to update wordpress because I have so many plug ins running, but given the sorry state of the site right now, no time like the present!

I am having this same problem. I just upgraded to the latest nextgen in order to take advantage of the image browser, but would like only the images to reload, not the entire page. here is the post with a gallery:

Permissions were set to 664. I changed it, hopefully that will solve the problem! thanks

I have also had this problem (4 times since July 10) Now when it happens I know to look in my htaccess file and remove any unwanted code. However, each time, the code is slightly different and I am wondering how it gets there!

I had recently added a few new plug ins (wp super cache and simple press forum) SPF has said there is nothing with that plug in that should affect htaccess so I disabled wp super cache for now. We’ll see if it happens again, and I would definitely like to reeactivate that plug in so the site isn’t so slow.

This problem definitely related to wordpress… does anyone have any ideas on why this might be happening or how i can stop it from happening?
