Hello,

I may have an idea of why there is this issue as the behavior is looking like there is not enough memory to run the plugins fully in the editor.

That would explain as well why the grid publication blocks are loading infinitely. The server I used has quite limited configuration for ressources usage.

I test on other servers that it works better.

Are there settings which are managing the live memory that WordPress can use? if yes, how to change them and what would be the recommended value?

I tried to change some memory settings before by adding instructions in htaccess or wp-config files but there are not taken in account.

well it doesn’t help

1) Featured Image for Blog / Archive and Single Post
this is already enabled

2) There no Featured Image setting

it stays disabled as well but i had it before using Astra

=>i am sending more information on this issue, here are all the steps i tried:

-checked feature image is visible in the customizing for blog posts – yes

-checked it is NOT appearing in the preference inside the blog post editor

-checked deactivating all browser plugins with chrome and other browsers – still issue

-deactivating all WP plugins – still the issue

-checked with 2023 theme, the issue stays. whereas before using Astra theme there was a feature image setting in blog post

-i updated astra, spectra, starter template still same issue

-i reinstalled last version of WordPress core still same issue

-once i noticed when I removed the display of the Astra editor, the three missing settings reappeared but then disappeared again (tags, categories, featured image). but this do not reoccur by redoing it

I am a bit sick of this issue so i guess i will user other themes.

Plus when I activated 2023 it messed up all my website interface and stays the same when i reactivate Astra whereas it should not lose my configuration

I checked the preferences and it seems i don’t have the setting. I see only the first two settings. It is strange that it is not there as the theme should have the featured image setting as well.

I tried to deactivate all plugins but the issue is still the exact same

when i check the custom field i see there is a ast-feature-img

i tried to change the main theme to twenty twenty three from WP and I see the same issue occurs not feature image setting is displayed in the blog post page

i created a video which is shown below where you can in the customizing of the site, featured image is activated for blog / archive and single posts.

Plus into a blog post there is no feature image setting.

seems with twenty twenty three i don’t see it

also, i have an issue with the enhanced bloc ‘post grid‘ (not sure of the English translation) which displays several posts in a grid. it is loading infinitely most often. so i cannot really edit and set it up properly

also how can i have control over the files it is creating on the server. if it fails or stops in the middle at it happened a lot of times i need to delete the space it is taking on the server. where are the files created located? how does it work?

i am still having some issues to save it take really long time and i don’t see clearly where I can select the elements i want to save. I’d like to avoid saving extensions for instance or some themes. I saw an option the first time but i don’t see it any more.

I am saving manually as it takes too many resources on my server

Thanks for yours answers. Indeed I had too many extensions and themes tested I thought deleted so I cleaned it and it could finish the backup.

Ill check as well the webserver for any disrupting process and update the site’s “.htaccess” file

yes as you mentioned the copied page is already edited, i realize the problem with the header only after finishing. this is the issue i have i want to correct the page that is already edited. I have several pages like this

I have several extensions but i already tried deactivate the non essential ones except Astra / Spectra I need to keep but the issue is still occurring. Normally i selected to copy everything by default.
