Sorry reply late. Actually. the WordPress do not support search content from the shortcode. So it is hard to have that feaures on this plugin.

I recommend you to use some other page builder which render post content for you. Such as KingComposer.

Then select your column is 2 in there to have 2 columns on your page.

Oh, I saw that you still active the old version.
Please deactive then delete the current version on your site.
Then install new version via upload method. If you are using cache plugin, please clear cache plugin and browser cache as well.
