I figured out the issue! I am also on WP multisite and had network activated the plugin, however it needs to be activated on a site-by-site basis. Thank you for looking into this issue and responding so quickly.

I am using version 2.4.7.

The votes are being saved, I can see them on the Posts listing page. My Dashboard widget is not updating with any data however.

Edit: I also want to point out that I am using Helpful with the shortcode.

I also had this issue on a WPEngine hosted site, the issue for me was regarding ssl as per this topic: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/cant-edit-or-save-any-page/
