In reply to: [Kadence] Kadence Appears to Load Unused FontsGreat — Glad you were able to resolve the issue.
I installed the new Yoga starter template, made my font changes Rubik & Karla, and then verified that the original Josefin & Lato no longer load.
Thank you so much for your help.

In reply to: [Kadence] Kadence Appears to Load Unused FontsHi Ben:
Here’s the URL to my Kadence theme test website:
Also, if there’s a way I can send you a secure message or email — I would be happy to provide you login credentials. That way you can see all of the Customizer and page settings.
One observation that I want to pass on to you is that — I noticed that the Customizer typography settings do not appear to be passed to the Kadence Block accordion. In the Yoga starter template, there are accordions on the Pricing and Contact pages. When I set fonts in the Customizer and in the Kadence Blocks defaults, they didn’t seem to propagate to the accordion block.
To change the “accordion pane title” font, I had to go to page -> block -> pane title font setting -> font-family, then select Rubik. Since the Inner Content tab doesn’t have a font setting, I clicked on each accordion text block and manually changed the font from Lato to Karla.
After making the font changes for the accordion, I used GTMetrix to generate the Waterfall Chart — so I could check the font loading. The chart shows Josefin & Lato still being loaded, see below:
Hope that helps.

In reply to: [Kadence] Kadence Appears to Load Unused FontsHi Ben:
Thanks for checking back on this issue. I did a thorough check of every font setting in the Customizer (including site title & tagline) but did not find any errant Josefin or Lato font settings.
As a second check method, I changed every font setting in the Customizer that was “inherit” to Rubik. So every font setting in the template was explicitly set to either Karla or Rubik.
Unfortunately, the Chrome Performance Analyzer still shows Josefin & Lato being loaded.
My guess is that the Josefin & Lato fonts may still be specified in one or more of the Kadence blocks that are not used in the Yoga starter template.
With regards to the Kadence Blocks plugin, I did notice that the google fonts set is not the same as the google font set in the Kadence theme. (see https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/accordion-block-public-sans-font-missing-from-block-font-options/). Might this provide a clue to the persistence of the two unused fonts?
Hope that helps.

In reply to: [Neve] Neve using old version of jquery?Thank you Rodica for your reply regarding the outdated jquery v1.12.4. I did some further digging and determined that this jquery issue is not related to the Neve WP Theme.
What I did was to (1) create a fresh install of WordPress v5.2.2, (2) installed the 2019 default WP theme, and (3) no plugins. Then ran GTMetrix to check the installed jquery version (../wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js) — sure enough WordPress installs the outdated jquery v1.12.4. Also, I did some googling on this version of jquery and found that it has a XSS security vulnerability, which has been known for some time. Moreover, Google’s Lighthouse tool flags this version of jquery as security vulnerability.
Interestingly, I found that the WordPress core developers did open a ticket ( severity: critical ) to update from jquery 1.12.4 to v3 — but that was about 3 years ago!!!
Hopefully a Forum Moderator can pickup on this issue and encourage the WP code developers to fix this security issue.
Clearing the cache & regenerating CSS resolved the issue with the image links.
Thank you.

In reply to: [Neve] Neve Theme googleads redirectsThank you for the explanation. Love the free Neve theme.
Thank you Brian — very good suggestion. Turns out the IP Geo Block plugin was causing the conflict. Once I deactivated it, I was again able to save my changes to the Wordfence option settings.

In reply to: [Fixed Widget and Sticky Elements for WordPress] Conflict with Scrolling MenuThe widget_display_callback hook priority is set to 1. I don’t see a way to set it to 0.

In reply to: [Fixed Widget and Sticky Elements for WordPress] Conflict with Scrolling MenuThank you Max for taking look at this scrolling menu issue.
Here’s the link to my WP website; take a look at my About page, where the Q2W3 fixed widget is used.

In reply to: [Fixed Widget and Sticky Elements for WordPress] Conflict with Scrolling MenuThe premium WP theme that I’m using switches the primary horizontal menu to a vertical scrolling mobile/tablet menu at a width of 1025px. Setting the fixed widget disable max-width 800px or less is what triggers the problem, because the sticky widget is active while the theme vertical scrolling menu is active.
The developers (Sketchthemes.com) of the premium WP theme took a look at the javascript for their theme’s vertical scrolling menu and confirmed that its working correctly. They believe the conflict is created by the sticky widget plugin javascript.
Could you take a look at the javascript for the theme’s vertical scrolling menu to see if you can identify/resolve the conflict? If so, I can provide the js file or give you FTP access to theme and files.
Thanks for your patience and help.

In reply to: [Fixed Widget and Sticky Elements for WordPress] Conflict with Scrolling MenuHi Max:
Thanks for the suggestions. I set the refresh interval to the minimum value and set the max width to 1025px. However, these changes did not resolve the conflict with the scrolling menu.
Just for grins, I tried enabling the “Inherit widget width from the parent container” option, but no luck.
Interestingly, the conflict only happens on those pages where the widget (MailChimp for WordPress Lite) is present. Any way to generate debug output that might be helpful in developing a fix?
Let me know if you have any other suggestions that I can try.
Thanks for your help.

In reply to: [MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress] Form Input Fields Extend Beyond Widget AreaAfter looking into this issue further, turns out it was an issue with the theme, NOT the plugin.
Therefore, this issue is RESOLVED.
