Well, you can do some of the things manually but it will be hard to scale if you have more than a few products.
In the current version of Goal Tracker you will have to create events for each product.
Hi @alexliii
GA4 tracks some events out of the box (some ok, some not that well), and if you want to track custom events, they recommend using Google Tag Manager. You can also work with a plugin such as ours that can offer a better user experience, but I’m biased ??
In any case, this plugin only works with Universal Analytics, but we created a new one called Goal Tracker for Google Analytics. It’s similar to this one but built for GA4.
Both plugins don’t have support for WooCommerce yet but we are working on that for Goal Tracker. If you are up for it, we would love to hear more about your use case.

Yuval
Hi Stephen,
Click tracking cannot tell when the form is successful, it can only track the click.
We are currently working on specific form features to give you more information.
Can you tell me which form plugin you are currently using?
Is there more information you would like to add to the event?

Hi Aida (@ai-1 ),
Will you be ok with a Zoom call to try and get this working together?
You can schedule it here: https://savvycal.com/goal-tracker-yuval/c46fb400Yuval
Hi @ai-1,
Version 1.0.5 is out with better support for your use case.
Once installed/update toggle the “Don’t add the “gtag” code snippet” option.
Please let me know if it solves your problem.

Hi Aida,
The feature that we have to support such a use case is being re-written as it had reliability issues.
We should have a new version out later this week that will make it possible.
I will update this ticket once we launch it.

In reply to: [Goal Tracker - Custom Event Tracking for GA4] Google Tag ManagerWell, it means that you can if you want to use Google Tag Manager with GA4, and if you do, there’s a setting in our plugin that prevents duplicate entries.

In reply to: [Goal Tracker - Custom Event Tracking for GA4] Google Tag ManagerHi @webprom
The way it works is that we add the global site tag for GA4 but tell it not to track page views. This setup allows you to have both Google Tag Manager and our plugin on the same website.

The plugin doesn’t have support for GA4, but we created a new one just for that – Goal Tracker for Google Analytics GA4.
You can find it here:

Hi @ellegaarddk,
Do you have an ad blocker extension that could be blocking it?
So far, we weren’t able to reproduce the issue. Also, if possible, can you take a screenshot of the browser console after clicking “save”? This could help us understand if there’s an error.

kind of embarrassing.
And it turns out that we’re not automatically subscribed to the support forum.
