If that may help, I am facing the same issue on my websites after updating to 5.4. I am using optimole plugin, but the problem is identical: the lazyloading option of the plugin seems to block the loading of images. When I deactivate lazyloading (not the plugin) the images show normally (also they don’t seem to be resized properly).
My rating on GTMetrix dropped because of that. Could it be an issue with WP rather than the plugins?

I have a similar issue on all my sites.
I updated from 5.3.2 to 5.4 and managed to isolate the issue: like all other members here, my images do not load on individual pages (they load on the homepage). My sites have the Optimole plugin installed for image optimization, and this worked awesomely well until the update. I narrowed down the problem to the lazyloading of images (when i deactivate that option on the plugin then the images appear properly. When I re-activate it, problem starts again).
I also noticed that resizing the image within each post would solve the issue. For example if the image is scaled as “medium”, scaling it to “large” then back to “medium” would then make it appear.
I have seen quite a few posts pointing out the same issue so far, for different plugins but always about lazyloading. IMHO that is a bug from the new update and I hope they will fix it soon.

I am trying to do the same too with my bueno theme, there should be a way to shift the side bar to the left, but how?

I also have a problem with the WooThemes Frmework/
As you I am not member of their forum so i can’t access the discussion there.

I am Using the Bueno Theme on the atest WP version.

When i try to upgrade the framework I get this error message:

Basically it doesn’t update it at all, but it says it is uptodate.
Do you know anyway how to manually update the framework alone? I made some changes in the theme so I don’t want to reinstall it.

actually the slug is set to paintings as my category before was :paintings: but then i made subcategories, and renamed “paintings” into “Gallery” but didn’t change the slug as it was not necessary, and would have required some 301 manipulations which i was not feeling confident enough to do.

What I would like to have is that for each category or subcategory (not only for gallery, but also artist (no data yet) news, etc, the first image of the post appears as a thunbnail in the related category page

OK I do have a Category Template (category.php)
any idea of the code to insert in there to get a thumbnail of the image of each post?

As for how to display the images or thumbnails in the categories, I still haven’t figured that out. Any clue?

I guess I have to go to Posts > categories and there click on each category and fill in:

Category Specific Permalinks – URL base:

Each category has a slug though, and i don’t really see the interest of the slugs if we need to fill in thecategories permalinks as well.

About this issue,

The problem seems to come from the fact that when using “categories” to build up a menu in Appearance > Menu it links to an URL that looks like this:
https://www.talents-of-afghanistan.com/category/news/
But My “news” category can be only seem to be accessed by an URL like:
https://www.talents-of-afghanistan.com/?cat=13

The solution I found so far is to enter each link manually. It seems to work, except that I still can’t get the images/thumbnails to be displayed but that might involve some CSS editing. Anyone knows where to look?
