In reply to: Photos appear elongated with site roated on tablet/mobileThanks songdogtech! Curious: How are you able to ID this problem as a theme issue as opposed to say, a WordPress or plugin one? (I suspect WooThemes may try to pass the buck and I’d like to be able to explain how it is a theme issue). Thanks again!

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Related posts not appearingThanks for getting back with me, Jeremy!
I switched to HTTPS a few months ago. The change was handled by my hosting service (BlueHost) and was part of the process of getting an SSL certificate and verification by COMODO RSA Extended Validation. I also use the WordPress HTTPS plugin. Beyond that, I don’t know much about the set up. If there are some specific questions you’d like me to ask my hosting company, please let me know as I’ll be happy to do so.
I followed the first three steps on the linked page, then went through all six steps in your post.
After following the first three steps on the linked page, however, the formatting of my website was stripped out (I saved a copy of that page, in case you’d like to see it). I did check the individual portfolio pages, however, the related posts still were not appearing (but most of the page was broken).
I went back to wp-config.php and removed the code that steps 2 and 3 in the linked page had me add. Doing so did not restore my site’s previous appearance. I then uploaded the copy of wp-config.php that I made before starting that process. Likewise, that also didn’t help.
I then went back to step 1 in the linked page and changed the WordPress address and site address in General >Settings from https back to http. That restored the site’s appearance. But related posts still don’t appear.
Thanks again!
Thanks for the response Will. I’m using All in One SEO which has a similar setting. I’ve also selected the image I want in that field, but it doesn’t work either.

In reply to: [SMS Sharing Button for Jetpack] error in pluginI had the same issue on my Louisville, Kentucky. Derby Home Rentals website, I’m running WordPress 4.3.1 and Jetpack 3.8. The theme is WooThemes’s Canvas 5.6.4.
I was trying it on an iPhone 6 running iOS 9.1, using the default Safari browser.
Thank you!
Thanks csonnek?

In reply to: Tweaking WordPress for faster page speedThanks all!
Thanks James! Huge relief as I had no clue how to address many of the areas PageSpeed Insights said were slow. I just ran webpagetest.org and first byte time was up to a B (likely because of all the photos it’s pulling). Thanks again!

In reply to: Leverage browser caching for Google AnalyticsThanks James! https://pagespeedgrader.com gave the same message too—and rather than covering browser caching altogether, it just specifically cited “https://www.google-analytics.com/analytics.js.”

In reply to: How can I decrease my page's load time? Thanks Michael! I ended up using EWWW IO version. It’s taken about five hours, but seems to be almost done bulk optimizing all of my existing photos.

In reply to: How can I decrease my page's load time? Thanks again for all the help. One question: WP Smush.it “found 1981 images in your media library. 301 of those images are over 1Mb and can not be compressed using the free version of the plugin.” It’s pro plugin that could compress those images is out of my budget. Any suggestions for another service that can do it? Thanks!
