As a paying user of s2member, I opened up a ticket with support for this.

I learned that the limitation still exists, but that going with a PHP and JavaScript method would accomplish what I needed.

Ultimately I found and made us of Mobile Detect, “the lightweight PHP class for detecting mobile devices (including tablets).”

In case others are looking for this same setting, I found it under the “Allow Profile Edits” dropdown when creating a custom field.

For some reason I looked at that page a hundred times and didn’t find that option in the bottom of the dropdown.

I can confirm this is an issue with 2.7. I tested and re-tested this sever times in several ways and I end up with the same results.

The only way for me to get 2.7 to recognize that I have added a new page template, is to temporarily activate another theme and then switch back to the preferred theme.
