I appreciate the time you spent to help me but I could not wait to resolve the issue, so I just re-created the page from scratch with the same elements and the new page works ok. I can only assume that something went corrupted in the problematic page…
In any case If the problem appears again I will come back to you.

Elementor Elements? Not that I can know for sure… since I can’t edit it.
If I remember well, text box, title element, a client list one and your timeline.
However I did create a test page with the above Elementor elements and it worked just fine.
As general sites widget I don’t think I use any widget apart from the footer ones and they are text widgets.
I also use Classic Editor I do not use that @#$ gutenberg. I haven’t switched the site widget to classic widgets though.Well…it didn’t work….
So, any other ideas?

as I have told you, I deactivated all plugins except elementor, the timeline and a maintenance I had just installed and the problem was still there.
I also tested it with a wordpress default theme and it didn’t work either.

Must be a false positive from Avast side.

So, it doesn’t matter what we put in the folder field,
you keep trying to download the backup file from inside the wp-content folder.
since you read it from the correct path I guess it must be very easy to make it download from the correct path as well!Ok I havent tried the new version (thanks again) but I found the problem.
I could not download ab backup if I had set as the backup folder in the domain root directory.
For example,
if I have set as folder this: ../../backup/
It is writing the backup in the right folder but can not read it to download it.
If I have set the folder as: backup/
it is writing inside wp-content/backup/ and can find it to download it.This didnt happen before the 3.50 update.

I deleted the backups, re-created (no errors in the logs) but I keep getting this.However today in another site everything went smoothly.
I am trying to understand what makes some sites to work and others not by comparing their settings.
Could the problem be the WP memory limit set at 40M?
