Primarily so that Github and Bitbucket will pick it up as a Markdown document rather than a plain text document and I haven’t seen the logic in providing a similar document twice, in the form of a .txt and a .markdown/.md.

Nope, not on the theme side of the house. Plugins do, though.

I’ve been including the changelogs as a matter of record-keeping and as a courtesy for users. Hopefully they’re useful.

I remembered to update the README this time! *grin*

It’s a bug and one that’s been plaguing the theme for a while. I fixed it in the forthcoming 1.3.9 — keep tabs on when it’s released over on Trac here: https://themes.trac.www.ads-software.com/ticket/9792

It’s a known issue. I’m working on a fix for 1.3.8.

Ahh. I think I see what’s going on. The editor stylesheet isn’t styling em’s, I think. However, if you save the post, you’ll see the proper styling on the front end.
