is there a way to deactivate the hover command when using mobile device?
so hoping can find a way round this….
tried putting that bit of code in the style section but it hasn’t worked. not sure how i disable normalize.css or what that means!
ps i don’t get any scroll bars on ipad or android! i just get caught on the hovered image when i exit photoswipe on iPad.
Hi w.bear
I’m not sure I know how to do this.
do I just put the code you mentioned into the nextgen style box or do i need to find the original stylesheet and amend it?
Hoping I don’t have to stop photoswipe as I think it is FAB. It seems to work fine on mac and on iPad but exiting it seems to be the problem on my iPad.

is there a way to deactivate the enlargement of image on mouseover when on mobile devices?
Thanks w.bear
have activated that on my desktop and indeed it is much better. I do still have the problem on my iPad that when i close the photoswipe it leaves you with one of the images enlarged (as mouseover) which you can’t deactivate on the iPad. Any suggestions?Thank you w.bear. I have added those two lines of code.
OK. Next instalment now!
Have just installed photoswipe and set it to run only on mobile devices. It works fine in that you can pick an image and then swipe through the images, but when i try to exit the slideshow/swipe by clicking the x, it goes back to the first image i clicked on ((full size), and then when i press on it again it goes back to the hovered enlarged image and it is then very hard to get back to the main gallery page as you first enter it (all images the same size)
What I would like to do is press the x button and go back to the gallery page.
Do you have any idea how I get around this? (should I be starting a new thread?)
thank you both so much
thank you thank you thank you
I am one very happy bunny.OMG. You are nothing short of my hero! Thank you so much.
have added a bit of text on the adult portrait page. do you think that looks ok?One other question (inches away from a clean get-away!). How do I remove/disable the slideshow option on each gallery?
THAT’S BRILLIANT! Thanks w.bear. And Tizz. You are both geniuses/genii!
now the only problem is that where the nextgen thumbnails have cropped the image this remains cropped in the enlargement which matters only in a few pictures. do you think that it the average punter would realise that if they click on the image they will get the full-size one?
I could put a line of text at the top of each gallery indicating to click on an image to get full size, I suppose…..??
What do you reckon? Or would I be better to just enlarge the images a smaller amount?
Advice very much appreciated.
Hi Tizz
Yes I have clicked on the images and that works fine. I suspect I am trying to make it too complicated. I did, before upgrading NextGen, have a line of code that enlarged the images just a few pixels on hover but I lost that on upgrading.
any bright ideas?I think I may well have to make do with a minimal zoom on hover, i.e. just a few percent increase. What would I put for the code to make that happen?
Actually, I think the problem is that the zoom is hindered by the edges of the central column. ie the top row end up with the top edge cropped, the bottom row with the bottom edge and the sides with the relative side cropped.
that’s definitely better, but the enlarged image is blurred. also it just zooms which means it crops the image. i have done it and it is live on https://www.zanchit.co.uk/adults can you see what I mean?
i think what i would prefer, it it were possible would be for the full sized image to show on mouseover. is that possible?don’t know anything about nextgen default shutter effect. Am a total newbie. So sorry if being thick. website is https://www.zanchit.co.uk and the galleries are all the same: https://www.zanchit.co.uk/adults would be a sample. Any advice on how to program so could have enlargement on mouseover would be fantastic. But you might have to speak slowly (blonde!)
