I just figured it myself and it worked….. its was under the form

UM -> Settings -> forms-> Registration Default > Assign role to form > change the ROLE to subscriber !

The instructions you gave me also should do it by it seems NOT helping …

I have again changed the default registration role to a random role and did a new registration but still its assigned as an administrator, for some reason.

Thank you but the registration default role was set a “subscriber” …. I have tested it again and still assigning new users as administrator and still doing the same. Even under WordPress > settings > general > the subscriber is set as a default. Any idea why is it doing this ?
