In reply to: How to insert a copyright statement on each post?It may be true that you have the copyright even if it’s not stated, but stating it clearly allows no confusion on the point. That’s why, in addition to the notice in my footer, I wanted one on each post. Would any of us go to court if someone stole something from our blogs? Probably not, but I think seeing that copyright notice repeated on each post reinforces that you’re at least semi-serious about it. \;+)

In reply to: How to insert a copyright statement on each post? You know how sometimes life takes over? Well, that’s what happened after I thanked all of your for your help, and wasn’t that a good thing? Now, there’s even more good stuff. Keep up the great ideas!

In reply to: How to insert a copyright statement on each post?Wow! See what happens when I sleep late. ;+) Thanks so much, all of you.
I did manage to get a page copyright statement in, that was the easy part. I’m going to try out your suggestions, today. They sound like they’ll take care of it all.
I’m a writer, so I never know when I might blog something that I want to use later. So, I figured, better take care of it before it becomes an issue.
Thanks, again,

In reply to: How to insert a copyright statement on each post?Well, generic, yes, but with my name and the year.
And what’s “The Loop”?
Thanks, Z
Okay…this is still weird. I used the tutorial (Thanks!) to change the password for the user name I was trying to log in with. It still didn’t like it. Then I used my old admin login and it worked with my old password.
Anyone got any idea what password I changed??? I’ve kept track of it but I have no idea where I would use it.
Thanks,
Z
Well, this is just weird. I finally looked at my webmail (instead of Outlook), and all the messages are there, but the passwords don’t work. And, yes, I used the most recent mail. I even tried the “retrieve password” thing again and did the responses to that, and it still says the password is incorrect.
Any ideas???
Thanks, ZThanks, all of you. My previous experience was has been very good, so I was surprised. Good think I haven’t been trying to upgrade.
I’ll try those links and see if I can figure out what’s wrong. On the email addy, it asks you for it, and seems happy with the one I’m giving it. ;+) But I will check it out.
Thanks, again. Z

In reply to: Can’t log admin out; can’t post as another userWell, bless your heart, Moshu. That did the trick. Thanks soooo much. It was driving me nuts.

In reply to: Can’t log admin out; can’t post as another userThat might make it possible for me to get a new login screen, but it won’t fix the problem of not having additional users show up in the dropdown menu on the write page. I’d like to get that fixed, then I don’t have to keep clearing my cookies, which is a total drag because some of those I want kept.

In reply to: wp-layout.css seems to have gone missingWell (*&&^! I just went back to the admin panel and saw that the URI for the blog, I don’t know how or why, still said “oldblog.” I changed that for about the 20th time and updated, ditto. And this time it actually took. So, it looks okay now.
Thanks, Rob.

In reply to: wp-layout.css seems to have gone missingUm…can you give me a clue where that would be? I’ve checked the themes files I can find, but I’m not finding this bit.
I tried to search on that the <style…screen”> string, but I’m getting no hits.
Thanks, Z

In reply to: wp-layout.css seems to have gone missingSorry. That was dumb.

It should be looking more or less like this one:
The body text and a couple headings are different colors, but, otherwise, it’s the same.
Thanks, Z

In reply to: Can’t change URI for blogWell, I did manage to find it. I made the change and it worked. Only now my styles are gone. I can’t figure out how that could have happened, unless there’s somewhere that specifies a path for that css file and it’s now wrong. Man, this is a drag.
Thanks for getting me this far, azel.

In reply to: Can’t change URI for blogWeeeellll…if I knew where to find it, I might be able to do that. I know my SQL db is on the server, but I have no idea how to access it directly. ;+)
